Vision Xpress-Dr. Knial Piper

I have been using Vision Xpress since I was in 5th grade and I am well into adulthood now. I have also started bringing my kids in which saves trips back and forth to Springfield. They're always friendly, have great prices, and you can almost always get glasses same day which is so convenient! 10/10!

How are you going to give a total after insurance, when you didn't have my insurance information? They do this to scam people, if you go here you need to double check and make sure they aren't scamming you.

Everything you could hope for in an eye care professional. Brought my nine year old in for very first eye exam. She saw Dr. Piper, he was very kind, considerate, patient, and professional. The office staff was so charming and helpful. My child's glasses were ready for pickup in only one hour.

I had a FANTASTIC experience here last Friday! I took my 3 young kids to get vision exams for the first time ever, and they gave me an exam right on the spot alongside them when I asked if I could just get my insurance on the books for a future new patient visit. I wasn't expecting them to see me the same day! Tonya, who appeared to be the "head" of the office operations, was phenomenal at keeping things running smoothly with all the patients coming in and out. She's humorous, warm, and direct, and was excellent with my kids. She helped by giving good advice on frames we were trying out. I saw her, as well as all the staff, interact with elderly, young adults, and children, and their demeanor was universally respectful and professional. Everyone in this place was cheerful, relaxed, patient, kind, helpful, and overall made our all-day long experience (between dilation, exams, frame selection and processing, fitting, and pickup) such a positive one. We live nearly an hour out of town and were so impressed and thankful that they had a decent selection and were able to get my kids fitted and walking out the door with their new glasses the same day! Finally, Dr. Piper is professional, friendly, no-nonsense, and THOROUGH. He explained everything he was doing to both my kids and myself, which is HUGE when it comes to quality patient care. He is down-to-earth yet knows his stuff. Someone I felt immediately like I could trust with our care. I will absolutely be coming back; thank you all for making customer service and patient care what it SHOULD be!

Very clean and calm establishment. I had put off my eye exam for too long. I was met with friendly staff who made me feel at ease with the exam, the frames, and the lenses. I had a lot of adjustments with the type my eyes required and the Doctor and staff answered all my questions and concerns. I will bring my family back to this establishment without hesitation. Thankful for this local business.

I do not typically visit Vision Xpress, as I get my contact lenses and prescription from another doctor. I needed an updated prescription in my backup glasses, so I decided to come in because I wasn't able to get another appointment elsewhere. I came in, had an exam, and they fixed up my old glasses. Then, I left. I wore those new glasses for the rest of the day, but I immediately could tell that the prescription was not correct. I contacted them the next day, and was told that my eyes "needed time to adjust" and to wear them consistently for a few days. I went back a few days later because of course it was no better. I know my eyes, and I knew that the prescription I was given was not right. When I went back in, I explained to the doctor that the prescription wasn't right for me. He checked me again very, very hastily, and then doubled down. He said that the prescription was correct and that my eyes needed time to adjust switching between contacts and glasses. I tried to tell him that the amount of distortion left in my vision was too much for this to seriously be the case, but he was not having it and turned me away. I waited a few months for my regular eye appointment with another doctor. I brought my glasses with me for her to look and and give a second opinion. She told me that they were incredibly off from what they should have been, and that I should never go back to Vision Xpress.

I walked into this store, to make an appointment for my disabled child in a wheel chair. This woman told me flat out, my child wouldn't been seen because he had a disability. She said, and I quote, " I don't want him destroying my displays" I never even visited this store in the past. I was astonished! The complete lack of compassion for my son and I was completely uncalled for. If someone could be so cold and heartless to a disabled child and their parents. I can not believe they could be good people in general.

Wonderful business and people! My appointment with Dr. Piper felt very thorough and everyone was so helpful with picking out my new glasses! They have a great selection of functional and fashionable frames, I will definitely be returning for another pair!
