My experience was pleasant. Very important because I have had a lot of eye exams in my life and find them frightening. Dr. Kwong and his staff were very understanding, and I felt safe in their care. Dr Kwong is excellent. Knowledgeable, kind,respectful. Shows he cares. Staff was good except I had a little hiccup with scheduling .I was scheduled to see a doctor that doesn't accept my insurance after giving her my insurance ID and her putting me hold for a while to check it. I came on time for my appointment only to be told the doctor can't see me because he doesn't take my insurance and I need to come day after to see the doctor that would take my insurance. I had to pay out of pocket 145$,because I was so scared that my eye will get worse. It was swollen and painful.

Dr Kwong was performing a 4 month post op exam from my cataract surgery. I had a post polar congenital cataract. Dr Kwong noticed that I have some unique scarring, but my Turic lens was solidly anchored and spot-on placement. There is a natural healing that sometimes requires a laser removal of a film over the artificial lens and Dr Kwong has me returning in just a few months to monitor this possibility ensuring my vision. His keen observation and desire for best outcome is greatly appreciated.
