HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The minute you walk in that office you absolutely feel like everybody hates their job. The one exception was the receptionist Mariana and I understand. She's no longer there. She was pleasant and caring, but everybody else was rude, uncaring, zero empathy, and in one case flat out lied! It starts with your examination and I forget her name but the woman who does it clearly hates her job because you can feel the tension the minute you walk in the exam room. I had never had cataract surgery so I had a few questions and she actually snapped at me and said"would you just let me do my job and you can ask the doctor those questions" when the Doctor Yee finally came in, he did not answer any of my questions, he did not do anything to try and calm my fears, and did nothing to explain the procedure. Everything was just very matter-of-fact. Then you go in and you meet with the person who does the scheduling with my husband sitting there to hear me ask the Question "will I be put out for this procedure?" To which her answer was, yes. The day of the surgery when I got there, I found out that you are not put out. You are sedated. There's a big difference. I was already suffering from anxiety now to find out. I'm going to be awake while they're operating on my eyeball was not comforting. Due to a number of health issues I'm on medication's and I let the anesthesiologist know that I have a high tolerance so that he could make sure he gave me enough sedative to help. Despite me saying to him several times, I don't feel anything. I don't think you've given me enough he ignored me. As Dr. Yee proceeded to begin, I told him I could feel everything he was doing and he completely dismissed it and just said no you're just feeling a little pinching and pulling no big deal. There's a lot more details that show why you shouldn't come here, but these are the highlights. Now year and a half later, I had to have the other eye done but it already made the decision that I was never going back to see Dr. Yee. I found another place called Meadows Eye, and from the moment I walked in their front door every single person was happy, friendly, willing to answer any questions and made me feel very comfortable. Of course, I explained to everybody what I had gone through previously, and when the day of surgery came, which was yesterday the anesthesiologist heard what I said, and I could actually feel this time that I was being medicated. It got quiet for a few minutes, so I thought they were just waiting for the medicine to kick in before they started and the next thing I knew they told me I was done. I never felt a thing, I had no idea that the doctor was actually working on me. Apparently.THAT WAS HOW IT SHOULD BE!!

Very rude, unfriendly, and has no compassion towards patients. Went in for a primary Lasik procedure and after suctioning one eye they couldn't go any further due to the machine going down. Like really? I question the maintenance on their machines and the staffs ability to maintain office requirements as I was told they didn't turn the AC on until later in the day which made the machine go down. Left with one red eye, no lasik, and a huge disappointment. Dr Lee has a very insensitive demeanor and appeared irritated with my questions which I believed were valid for anyone nervous about eye surgery. Like who wouldn't be? Doctors should make their patients feel comfortable and at ease...he acts as if he doesn't like his customers and tired of his job. Of course I was nervous about the entire procedure but his energy made it worse. Even tried to be extra respectable just to see if his energy would shift...no success. However, his technician made me feel comfortable but I needed the doctor to as well. A doctor should show compassion and make you feel at ease and comfortable with your procedure. I'm thankful my procedure was stopped...I believe God had me in his care. I do not give bad reviews unless I feel it is truly warranted. The purpose of my review is in hopes he reads this review and changes his behavior for future patients...self awareness. God blesses us with talent, skills, material possessions...if you abuse those in any way He will allow them to be taken away. I pray he becomes a kinder gentler man for the sake of his skills and business.

Dr. Yee botched my eye surgery 8 years ago. When I asked him if there's any way to correct the damage, he said "go see an expert". I thought he was an expert or I wouldn't have let him do the surgery.

Dr. Edward Yee is the best cataract surgeon!!! He replaced the lens on my right eye and I can see better than when I was 7 y/o--within 24 hrs post-surgery!!! Near 20/20 vision! It's like having a fog lifted and giving me a new life! In fact, I was cleared to drive after my next-day appointment! No pain, discomfort or any complication. Dr. Yee is very kind, warm-hearted and a true professional! I am excited and looking forward to having the same surgery on my left eye next week! I can't thank you enough Dr. Yee and your caring staff for taking great care of my eyes! I am so lucky to be referred to you by my primary care physician!

Dr. Yee caught a macular (behind the retina) hole in my left eye. Within a week, I was seen by the retina surgeon he referred me to and had my surgery. Without Dr. Yee's thoroughness, I would have lost all vision in my left eye. Personally, he has a serious demeanor, but he is caring and a top notch doctor. Don't entrust your eyes to anyone else!

I had become legally blind due to severe cataracts in both eyes literally overnight. I was sent to Dr. Yee by a physician at urgent care after I saw him because I had what they thought was a detached retina. I cannot say enough good about Dr. Yee. He took me in the middle of their office move and even apologized for being dressed "inappropriately" due to the move. Luckily the equipment was still there and was not scheduled to be moved until the next day. He told me if he was unsure of anything, he would send me to a specialist, which he did and made the appt for the following day. He sent me because he believed it was possible it could be my retina was detached. The retina specialist found after testing that it was not a detached retina after all. It was two different types of cataracts, one deep within my left eye, with another in my right, which required surgery and implanted lenses to correct. I again saw Dr. Yee the following day and he set my surgery for the left almost immediately. He knew how nervous I was and made sure to see me at the surgery center before we went to the O. R. Within two days, at my follow up after surgery, my sight was back and 20/20 in two weeks following that appt. My right eye was also done shortly after. I can see again and so relieved. So if Dr. Yee does not have the greatest bedside manner, so be it. Dr. Yee knows his "stuff." He saved my sight and I am very grateful for that. (My insurance has sinced changed and I am very sad I will no longer be able to see Dr. Yee)

Dr. Yee is the worst doctor I have ever met. He is rude and condescending. It's bad enough I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and I am histerical, upset and sad about having it. I asked him if the blurriness of my eyes will go away. I only wear reading glasses and my eyes are still very good. But Dr. Yee is not concern with his patients' feelings. He does not listen to his patients concerns and only wants to say things his way. He even raised his voice and said "your blurry eyes has nothing to do with your diabetes! You are almost blind you will need glasses!" I know my body and I have read that when you bring down your blood sugar fast which I did, your eyes will temporarily get blurry. Dr. Yee overbooks his patients and it also feels like he is in a hurry. Like a cattle call. Anyways, sure enough after 3 weeks my eyes cleared and went back to normal. I could see again without glasses. Imagine, if I bought the prescription glasses it would have been a waste of money. I do not know how Dr. Yee got his degree but, he is incompetent. No social skills whatsoever. If I could put a negative 5 stars I would do it. SHAME ON YOU DR. YEE!!! I will not go back to his office and I would advice anyone thinking of going there NOT to go. It's a waste of your time and money he cannot help you.

I was quite surprised at the one-star rating given to Dr. Yee. My experience (4 visits) has been very positive with Dr. Yee taking time to talk with me and answer all my questions fully. His patience and willingness to "think through" my problems allowed him to come up with a perfect solution that lowered my pressures immediately without surgery. With this experience, I would, without any hesitation, give Dr. Yee my highest rating!
