Dadej Rhett OD

I didn't have a good experience here. I was referred by a friend. I was initially pleased that they were able to see me on a Saturday so I wouldn't miss work. The location geographically is very convenient. They are located next to a marijuana dispensary, and the smell was so intense . I'm not sure why they dont use an air purifier or some type of deodorizer. Anyways the exam went quickly. Almost too quickly. The machines, i guess, do all the work? There were no inquiries about how my vision was performing or what brought me in. I thought that was odd. When it came down to the pricing, the person assisting me quoted me the most expensive option in all categories. The quote was $530 for 1 pair of glasses, and I was still going to need sunnies. I left stating that I'd needed to do some comparison shopping. This sounded too high. I went to Costco and received a quote for 2 pairs of glasses, 1 being prescription sunnies for $430. Still seemed higher than I'd prefer, and they dont accept my insurance. I then tried Sam's club and was quoted $330 for 1 pair w a sunglass clip on and also does not accept my insurance. At that point, I called my vision insurance for clarification on my benefits. I then circled back to this location, and the same salesperson explained she quoted me the highest quality /price of each option that was added on. All without knowing how I planned to use them and if those upgrades were warranted. In the end, i decided to peak at the reviews and saw many dissatisfied consumers. I have learned that for my insurance, for me to get the most out of my benefits, i need to go to Target optical or Lenscrafters. Lesson I learned: Call my insurance before asking friends for referrals.

I've been seeing optometrists for 22 years and Dr. Rhett Dadej is the absolute worst. He barely examined my eyes. Spent maybe one minute total looking at my eyes ( he actually avoids eye contact it's super uncomfortable) I brought in my previous prescription and he just copied it. And still got it wrong! When confronted with his mistake the man took no accountability and did not apologize. He tried to tell me his technology is advanced so that's why the exam was quick. Boy please, the machine he was using looked like a dinosaur. Use your insurance benefits somewhere else! Dr. Dadej is charging insurance companies for exams without performing them. Also his staff should leave. There are so many places you could work that aren't committing insurance fraud.

Location a bit difficult to see when driving on street to find. Office staff very friendly, clean office, clean equipment, large selection of frames, doctor was very friendly, explained things in detail and answered any questions I had. Very nice experience. Definitely would recommend it to friends and family.

The doctor was great and my vision is finally sharp thanks to his thoroughness, AND the staff is amazing. I know there are some bad reviews about them but that was years ago and my interactions with the staff here have been nothing short of great. The waiting area is clean, and the show floor is organized and spaced out so you can check out glasses without bumping into other customers. I will be a returning patient/ client/ customer.

When I picked up my 1st pair of lenses, they lacked the photochromic/transition effect, which I requested on my initial visit. I had to wait yet another two weeks for the 2nd pair to arrive. The 2nd pair arrived, and they had the photochromic/transition effect, which was great. I was given the 1st pair of lenses as well, and I was on my way. After wearing them for a couple of days, I started to notice some issues. So, I went back to address them and was met with a defensive and dismissive Dr. Rhett Dadej. The first thing I noticed was that the 2nd pair of lenses were poorly cut, as I could see a chromatic abrasion effect on the edges of the lenses, and the glasses would make a rattling noise when shaken something that the glasses did not do with the 1st pair of lenses. This was dismissed by Dr. Rhett Dadej as an issue with the frames, even though the issue was not there with the 1st pair of lenses, so it could not have been the frames. The 2nd pair of lenses did not appear to have any blue light filtering; this was dismissed as false because, according to Dr. Rhett Dadej, the rainbow reflection of the AR coating is a sign of the blue light filtering. But the 1st pair of lenses has that same rainbow reflection and a slight yellow tint to them, which I was under the impression was the blue light filtering, as every single one of my previous pairs of blue light filtering glasses has that same yellow tint to them, which the 2nd pair of lenses did not have. The 2nd pair of lenses also did not have the same prescription that was requested and was provided to the 1st pair of lenses I received. I had a traumatic eye injury in my childhood that severely damaged my left eye, making my vision almost nonexistent so I requested to have the left lens prescription be the same as the right to prevent further distortion to my face. Once again, this was dismissed by Dr. Rhett Dadej, and in fact, Dr. Rhett Dadej insisted that the mistake was on my part for not making it clear that I wanted both lenses to be the same, even though ONCE AGAIN I had specified on my initial appointment that I wanted both lenses to have the same prescriptions, and I know he heard me because his response was, " That shouldn't be a problem ", and it wasn't a problem because ONCE AGAIN my 1st pair of lenses both had the same prescription, just simply lacked the photochromic/transition effect. But according to Dr. Rhett Dadej, that did not happen, and so either Dr. Rhett Dadej is not attentive to his customers, or Dr. Rhett Dadej had the 2nd set of lenses slap dashed and hoped I would not notice the lack of quality and just focus on the fact that the transition was added. Unfortunately for Dr. Rhett Dadej I am not fully blind from my left eye, and I can in fact see and tell that there is a difference. I paid for two lenses, not a monocle. A mistake on the opticians' part is not my mistake. There seems to be a lack of consistency with the service at Dr. Rhett Dadej Eye Care Services, so I do hope your experience is better than mine. If I could give only the rest of the staff 5 stars, I would. They were all very lovely, each and every visit I had to make.

If it wasn't for the doctor who refused to prescribe my glasses because my prescription changed dramatically. He was very concern and suggested to see my doctor. Turns out I had cataracts. After my surgery I went back to get prescription readers. My main complaint is the filthy waiting area. I can tell they tried to clean the seats. Just throw out those dirty old seats. I refuse to sit on the them and sometimes the wait is long.

I love this ofc,the staff has always been nice abs courteous and the Dr has been very personable as well. We've even laughed during my visits,so I give the McDaniels ofc a thumbs up for all of my visits. The last star I didn't mark is because I'm anemic an their ofc is always way cool to me but when I look at the other ppl their they love it so I know it's just me besides that they'd get 5 stars. I thank and appreciate the staff and attitudes I've always been lucky enough to get

My appointment was Scheduled and had on time they were curtious and professional they were informative and helpful and patient they answered questions and had a very wide selection of frames to choose from the wait on the return of your glasses is a little longer than some places but we'll worth the wait .when I call they answered the phone when I come there the office is open Every time and someone has always been at the front desk to greet me they are personable and made me feel comfortable and important not like I was just a insurance number.i recommend them to everyone I know.thanks and keep up the good work guys!!!
