Las Vegas Ophthalmology

My suggestion would be to not waste your time here. Either go somewhere else or don't go anywhere at all. I left my appointment with no information on whether my diagnosis was good, neutral, or bad. They also dilated my eyes without the slightest of forewarning. Just a "Look up please," then boom- drops in my eye. When I returned to my GP and they asked what the Ophthalmologist said, I had to tell them honestly, "Well, they didn't say anything.."

I have never experienced a more professional and knowledgeable eye doctor as Dr Yee.. he thoroughly examined and diagnosed both of my eyes and explained to me what would be necessary to repair them.. he gave me confidence in his ability to explain, on my level what needed to be done.. his surgery was deft and knowledgeable... his assistant in the office Jane was also extremely helpful and thorough, walking me through the details of the procedure so that at the end I had no questions at all. I knew exactly what would happen. He is definitely one of the finest surgeons I have ever experienced thank you Dr Yee for my sight and thank you Jane for making this a painless experience... I have perfect sight...no glasses...thank you joey decicco

Dr. Yee and his staff did an awesome job for me. I needed cataract surgery on both eyes. They walked me through my options step by step, including my insurance and out-of-pocket options. I went with the premium lenses. These are MY EYES after all. Lots of appointments with preop, surgery, postop. Healing. Then my second Eye was done. I arranged a pickup and drop off by GMT services on surgery days as I don't have anyone able to take me to and from surgeries. I just had my last scheduled appointment today about a month after starting this. I'm 20/20 in both eyes. No dry eye or irritation. Dr. Yee and his staff did a great job during this procedure. They answered all my questions and were very courteous. If you need cataract surgery done this is the place to go!!

With the exception of the front desk lady who was consistently very pleasant and helpful, the staff is not very nice. I was given attitude today, 3/4/22 because I came to pick up my glasses during their lunch break. My text alert advised me to pick up my grasses between 8am and 3pm. I came after 12pm. A quick solution would be to indicate in your text alerts that you are closed between 12:00 and 12:30 pm for lunch and you will not be disturbed during your lunch break.

We waited for 2 hours to be seen by an incompetent person who repetitively was saying he could not see anything wrong with my Wife's right eye. I know its a minor swallowing but that is due to the previously taken eye drops at home that helped and worked because we were waiting for 2 hours. Still as a "specialist" you should have been able to see and detect the difference right away. Instead we received a very unwelcoming service by an aged - time to retire person who was showing us clear signs of general confusion and along with the nurse was making fun of my wife answering with sarcasm on all of our questions. I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anybody who values their eyes and health. If you speak with an accent you will not be taken for very smart . It is that kind of place.

I originally saw Dr. C. Edward Yee as one of the staff doctors at Westfield eye institute. He suggested I get a cornea transplant (the going rate is $28,000.) My 1st office visit after surgery he tells me there's a problem with the sutures he put in and he needs to put in more stitches. Rather than schedule for the surgery center so I could be fully sedated he says we'll do it now. He used some local anesthetic and commenced. It was extremely painful so kept adding more applications of the anesthetic. That was 2 yrs. ago. I saw him today. Told him something is terribly wrong with my vision. My acuity is good so I don't know what this is. He said he's "not an expert" that I should go see "an expert". He has always been unsmiling and unfriendly. I believe there are plenty of eye docs in Vegas with equal or greater skill. No reason to subject yourself to this particular doctor.

Office is alway close when calling over the phone and to top it off still waiting on my prescription glass is getting closer to a month now and still no glass or no call backs when they say they will call back, Taking myself somewhere else to get a new doctor.
