Dr. Orton and his staff were great. Dr. Orton was very kind and gentle. He's probably the best eye Dr I've ever had. He was very thorough with his exam and answered any questions that I had. I'm still waiting to receive my glasses and contacts with the new prescriptions, but I feel confident that I will be seeing things more clearly and experiencing less eye strain.

Dr. Orton is an amazing Eye Physician, and I'm not just saying this. He is top of the food chain as far as demeanor, professionalism and friendly personality. Dr Orton is an exceptional caregiver. As a patient of over 20 years I have always received the absolute best care from him. He carefully explains all aspects of the exams he performs and answers any questions. I recommend him without hesitation.

I recently saw Dr. Orton after a bad experience with a different optometrist I found at a mall because of a Groupon (bad idea). The previous optometrist diagnosed me with the eye disease keratoconus and pushed me to get surgery instead of contact lenses. After getting a bad feeling from that previous place, I found Dr. Orton after making a couple phone calls and I have nothing but outstanding things to say about my experience. Not only did we find out my Keratoconus is so early in its development that it would be irresponsible to get something as high risk and low reward as surgery on my cornea, but also that I wouldn't have to pay the $3,500 I was initially quoted at the previous place without insurance. We decided to go with scleral lenses as they seem perfect for my disease and we also made a game plan for cross-linking surgery, contact lens fitting, as well as the prices of scleral lenses. I would like to also note that his assistant was nothing but welcoming and kind as well as informative unlike my previous experience. If you have keratoconus and live in the southwest Las Vegas area and are not sure what to do then please see Dr. Orton because he will take care of your eyes, some of the most important organs in our bodies. Dr Douglas Orton is very thorough with my son's eyes every visit. He spends so much time checking if everything is ok due to my son's eye condition. The best eye doctor in Las Vegas. Dr Orton has compassion for his patients. He is a good Doctor. I only see him once or twice a year he is a caring person.
