Richard Kim, OD

I have been coming to Kim Family Eyecare for over 10 years. I have always had wonderful experiences there and feel well taken care of. They are full of knowledge and make sure that all of your needs and concerns are met and taken care of. I just recently had an appointment with Dr Richard Kim and he was able to fix an issue I was having with wearing contacts. I had figured I was just past the age of being able to wear them anymore but he made some adjustments and I couldn't be more thrilled! He really took the time to listen to me and that means a lot. I trust the Kim Family Eyecare practice with my entire family. I can't forget to mention how friendly and efficient the front office is either. This is one of the few appointments I actually enjoy going to.

Dr Richard Kim was very professional, competent and caring. Feel he went the second mile in giving me advice to help prevent/ minimize future problems with my eyes. His office staff was very pleasant and efficient

Went to see him for an eye problem and Dr. Kim was very dismissive. When I asked him for a work note he became annoyed like I was bothering him. Not to mention his clerk lying about a scheduled appointment. Me and my family will go else where.

We've been going here for about 3 years. Dr. Kim is awesome, he spends time with you, is patient, kind, thorough, has you try the contacts and follows up to ensure they're a good fit, and if they're not he tries something else. The staff are friendly, helpful and nice also. They do not guilt or scare you into anything.... Brenda and family

Convenient location at Walmart on Tropical Pkwy. Lots of parking with handicap access. Neat and clean office. Front desk staff was very friendly, organized and efficient. Wait was minimal. Dr. Richard Kim was great. He was professional, friendly, patient and knowledgeable. He has practiced there for 20 years. He answered all my questions. It was my first visit and I will definitely return.

Unfortunately, the staff working under Dr. Kim really detract from entire business. The receptionist enjoys talking down to people on the phone. She is very disrespectful, impatient, and always in hurry to get off the phone. She makes you feel like your phone call is an inconvenience. If you ask for her help, she replies with, "so what is it exactly you want me to help you with?" She places you on abnormally lengthy holds while wishing you hang up. She returns with bitter sarcasm in her voice, "This is Dr. Kim's office, are you still THERE?!?!"only to be disappointed to find you waiting on the other end. She has a cynical tone, implying her only purpose in life is to make people feel bad about themselves. She has been successfully providing snarky answering services for as many years as I can remember. I do believe she does not enjoy working at that job. A correctional facility would better suit a woman with a demeanor like hers.

My family and I have been receiving vision services from Dr. Kim for over 4 years. Dr. Kim is an exceptional optometrist who knows his craft and has a caring and professional attitude towards all customers.

I needed glasses and wanted to explore my options of contacts. After patiently waiting an hour, I had my exam. The doctor and I discuss contacts and she brings me a pair and tells me to put them in. I struggled putting it in and asked "what am I doing wrong" and she didn't turn around to answer me, simply stating "that's part of the training" Apparently they charge to teach you to put in contacts, but whatever I need professional help doing this so I agree. She puts me in a separate room, and sends in an assistant of some sort. The girl refused to help me, just sat there are watched me struggle. When I asked for help again she said "that's part of the training" .... I asked if I would injure myself and she responded "yes" but didn't correct me. At which point I decided not to do contacts... They checked me out quickly so I couldn't complain to the doctor.
