Summerlin Vision

Dr. McCaffrey is a wonderful, knowledgeable doctor with a great bedside manner. She truly cares. She has helped me with multiple eye issues. I would highly recommend Summerlin Vision for all your eye needs. . Her staff is friendly and accommodating. They have a great selection of frames too!

My family have been going to Dr. Mccaffrey for 5 years, and we always had a pleasant visit. She can carry on a good conversation while staying professional and on task. Her staff are also very professional and friendly. Even though we've moved out of the Summerlin area now, we will continue to go to her office.

The doctors and front desk staff were great when I've gone which grants the star (would have been 5 stars for them), but now I'm strongly inclined to find another office. The lady who sells glasses and contacts is so rude and offputting. I can't remember if she has been there when I have gone in prior years since I never buy from them. She is like a used car salesman: she either has no idea what she's talking about and tries to gaslight you because she's clueless, or she's a scam artist trying to pressure you into spending more than you need to. Either option isn't a good look for Summerlin Vision. She didn't give me options for what types of lenses I'd be buying, even though every other place I've bought lenses gave me a menu of options with prices and explanations of benefits. She didn't even tell me what she decided to order for me and just told me the total. When I asked, she quickly ran through them without clarifying what they meant. She also made some comments that clearly indicated she was just trying to upsell when she had no idea what she was talking about. She makes a big show about knowing what she's doing when she said several incorrect things that were obviously to upsell. She also billed insurance incorrectly. When I made comments about my experience with the glasses she ordered both prior to the order and after they were received, she tried to gaslight me and was incredibly rude when it all could have been avoided if she listened to me the first time. She doesn't even give an itemized receipt when you make the order, which is incredibly shady. I think her name is Nelly. The last thing anyone wants when going to a doctor's office is to feel like they're being scammed and gaslit so they can't trust the office's recommendations. Seeing at least two other reviews had the same experience with this rude lady should indicate to the office they need to reassess her employment there. I bet other people have just left the office without providing feedback.

This has been my favorite optometrist for the past 4 years since I moved to Las Vegas from Dallas TX. I like that it's close to home and it's conveniently located next to a Costco shopping center and close to the 215 freeway. The location is perfect! Dr. McCraffrey is amazing. She's professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and easy to converse with. She'll answer all your questions and concerns and provide valuable insight. I always enjoy my appointments with her! The office staff is polite and helpful. They make themselves available to answer any insurance questions or coverage.

Dr. Civia McCaffrey was excellent during my first time visit and eye exam. She was professional, knowledgeable and explained the thought process of her experience during my exam. The staff was reliable, honest, friendly and answered all my questions with respect. Thank You so much for my eye care needs.

I am extremely unhappy with the service I received from this eye doctor's office following my last appointment, and unfortunately this experience has cost them a patient. To be clear, my appointment with Dr. Madsen was pleasant and went smoothly. However, I later discovered that the contact lens prescription I received was written incorrectly. When I attempted to place an online order for contacts in late 2025, the retailer informed me that the product description and specifications on the prescription did not match, making the order impossible to fulfill. The prescription itself was wrong. After being notified of the discrepancy, I contacted the office and spent a significant amount of time trying to explain the issue over the phone. After repeating myself multiple times, I was eventually told that a revised prescription would be emailed to me. However, I was also told there was "nothing they could do" about the fact that my 2025 contact lens benefits went unused as a result of this error and the timing as we are now into 2026. This is incredibly frustrating and unfair. Had the prescription been written correctly in the first place, this situation would never have occurred. Instead of taking responsibility, I was met with deflection. At one point, the staff member I spoke with even suggested that I must have placed the order incorrectly, which was simply not true. I was also advised to contact my insurance company myself to see if they might offer credit for the unused benefits. Again shifting the burden onto me to resolve a problem I did not create. Mistakes happen, but how an office responds to them matters. In this case, there was no accountability and no meaningful attempt to make things right. I will not be returning.

Despite my prescription hardly changing in 5 years, they set my prescription to expire after only 12 months. Now I need to run out and get emergency glasses but nobody is allowed to sell them to me since I got my prescription here. It feels too much like simple greed for $$.

Quick and efficient without making you feel rushed. A nice calm, clean, and modern environment. Great staff and customer service! So happy to have found Summerlin vision!
