Walmart Vision & Glasses

If you're thinking about getting your glasses done here... RUN!!! A few months ago, I came to this Walmart (Charleston location) with my mom to get her new glasses. At the time, we decided not to add any extra warranty because she take good care of her glasses and trusted the quality of the work at their Vision Center. About three months later, we started noticing that one of the lenses was cracking from the inside, like it was splintering. It kept getting worse over time, so we went back to the store to have it checked. A woman attended us and, honestly, she had zero intention of helping. She looked at the glasses quickly and immediately said there was nothing she could do, and that the only "solution" was to pay the full original price again to remake them. Later, we decided to get the glasses remade at another optical store. The person there looked at them and told us right away that the issue was clearly caused by a bad job -- the original Walmart Vision Center had cut the lenses too large for the frames, causing constant pressure and making the lenses crack from the inside. He recommended that I go back to Walmart and insist, because even without a warranty, this was obviously their mistake, not ours. So I went back to the Charleston Walmart (twice) just to speak with the manager. The manager Omar, he completely dismissed the situation. Instead of acknowledging the poor workmanship, he tried to wash his hands of any responsibility, repeating that there was "no active warranty." He even offered me a 15% discount to redo the glasses, as if he was doing me a favor, when in reality the problem was caused entirely by their bad work from the beginning. Omar is honestly a joke. There was no accountability, no professionalism, and no genuine attempt to make things right. I trusted Walmart with my mom's glasses, and this was the first and last time I'll ever use their Vision Center. If you're thinking about getting your glasses done here, RUN,there's still time to save yourself the headache. Terrible service, zero responsibility, and a complete lack of care for their customers.

I recently visited the Walmart Vision Center and was assisted by Omar. This young gentlemen was very kind, patient and professional. He assisted me with selecting the correct frames and explained the warranty process. His friendly demeanor left me confident in my purchase. I will be referring everyone to him, thank you Omar!

As a life time user of glasses and contacts I had one of the best experiences with both the doctor and staff at this location. Dr. Thompson and Omar both made me feel well taken care of. They took their time to explain to me different options and choices with my insurance. I will definitely be back and continue to use this provider!

I went into this Walmart like I always do to get me groceries and supplies. It's usually nothing special but this day, well this day was different. On the way out I noticed my glasses were scratched so I asked the employee, Omar, who turned out to be the manager, for some help. This man was so helpful it's changed the way I see (literally!!) customer service. He helped me pick a style that fit my face and was also very patient. Other places are so quick to rush you and get you out, that's one of the reasons I've kept my old glasses for so long, but not Omar he made the process a breeze. He was also great with my toddler and making her laugh. I'll make sure the next time I need some new glasses I come to this location.

We stopped in town to get my son's eyes checked. The doctor was very thorough and we were able to get a new prescription. He also printed out some reading material and made some recommendations to a specialist. He was very helpful. Masks were required.

Always so nice and understanding every time I come to get my new lenses and in between when I just need them re adjusted. Very friendly Nathalie is usually who helps me. Very professional

Passed through on my way out of the store and inquired about pair of glasses. I have a script and was just fishing for information. Marta helped me by answering all my questions. Just from the genuine friendly professionalism I received from Marta and Omar, I went home got my script and headed back. Seyma help me with my order, didn't rush me choosing frames. Took care of my insurance check. Went back in 7 days Seyma was again there to help. Made sure I was satisfied and glasses fit properly. Given an awesome quality case and cleaning wipes. In closing, this by far the best experience in eyeware purchase for me. The staff here really are helpful and kind. Recommend using this location.
