Wellish Abrams Vision Institute

Newly combined doctors offices. My doctors Dr Shaw and Dr Abrams now with Dr Wellish. Was concerned after seeing Dr Wellish reviews. Fears gone now that I saw my doctor here. Office is comfortable, staff friendly and efficient, check in with machine seamless, office visit short wait time. Saw my good doctor. Now I highly recommend this practice.

The merger's facility is clean and very spacious. The employees were efficient. The doctors' bio are impressive. My first visit at this merger was so-so mostly because my appointment was 1pm and i was seen at 230 and was out of there by 3. I wish in general that Clinics should NOT OVERBOOK their schedules--after all patients' time are as important as doctors'. At Abram's before, I was seen on time, tests were short and swift. You are out in 45 minutes to a max or 1 hour. Please improve on this.

The nursing staff and doctors and the people up front/front desk area were all very very friendly, helpful and made me feel very at ease because I do get a little nervous, anxious. It was my first having this type of surgery but it was a breeze after everything that I went through. I would recommend friends or other family members this location. So when I got to my next appointment/ surgery for my other eye I will be more calm and relaxed because I know what to expect now and it will not be so terrible to get it done. I had cataract surgery in Sept and Oct 2025. From the initial exams through the surgeries to the final followup, care was exemplary. Appointments were prompt. Dr. Abrams explained my options and was very direct on which options might not be good. There was no pressure to make certain choices. The care at the surgery center was excellent. My results are fantastic.

The first and best ever experience of a real private healthcare office. Professional, respectful, elegance, all best thinks you wish for a perfect visit, from a doctor office. This is possible today only if the doctor respect himself and most important if no big healthcare corporation owns the business! Thank you very much Dr Abrams and your super team to make my experience one of the best in my life!

Support staff for surgery are terrible. I was scheduled to have surgery today but was told yesterday insurance did not approve. Even though the office had 7 weeks at least to contact my insurance. Not to mention I called weekly to check up on status and could never get in touch with anyone. Yesterday after I was told no surgery for me, I called my insurance and the surgery staff did not contact my insurance until 11/1, which was 1 business day before surgery date. I would not recommend this office. Lack of communication to patients is not a suitable place I would do business with. They outsource everything. Although this might not be a doctor issue, they should be more involved in how the patients are being treated. Shame of the staff.

Wellish Abrams delivers a thorough eye exam. The facility is new, it is well staffed with respectful and experienced staff. Dr Tran is amazing. I'm so pleased that Wellish Abrams is the vision institute I go to!

I needed Cataract surgery and my eye Dr referred me to the Wellish Eye Institute. I had heard good things about Wellish so I was glad to be referred to them. They emailed me asking me to complete the registration online, so I did, but I still arrived a little early since this was my first visit. Upon my arrival, I went up to the window and the receptionist barked out to check in at the kiosk and take a seat, like I was supposed to know this! So I checked in and took a seat. 45 minutes went by as I patiently waited and watched many people who arrived after my scheduled appointment time go in and out. I went to the window again and waited behind a lady that was being helped. When the lady left, the receptionist ignored me until I spoke up to tell her I was still waiting to be seen by the doctor. She asked my name, looked down at a folder on her desk, picked it up and put it in the wall bin. So besides the hour wait in their waiting room and the rude and incompetent receptionist, the rest went somewhat well. Including my hour in the waiting room, my appointment took 2 1/2! They could have advised me on the {normal} amount of time I should plan on for this appointment, since what needed to be done once I was finally called to go to a room, was not a quick process either.
