Rochester Eye Care Associates PLLC

So I came to Rochester Eye after having Cataract Surgery and love Dr. Bagda...but was there recently for my husband's appointment. He was there for glacoma assessment with Dr. Clark who was impressive with his details along with his knowledge and skill. He took baseline photos for comparison and answered every question. while I was there I needed a new Pair of glasses...great selection and it was here that I met James...he helped me pick a great pair of glasses! His demeanor was kind and sweet and he left a great impression...he knew his stuff and made great recommendations...awesome young man AND he tightened up my old glasses and ,well...what a sweet young man. I had the worst experience of my life at this facility. First, I was given the new optometrist. She was awful. She came in checked my eyes and then acted as if she didn't have time for me. I was there to get contacts and glasses. Instead of discussing what I needed she just wanted to know what my prescription for my current contacts. When I was taking to long she got aggregated and told me she didn't have time and when I finally found it she practically snatched it from my hand. Then when I got to the glasses the girl ignored everything I said. My glasses were all wrong. The glasses broke a week after having them (frames). I took them in but they told me there was nothing they could do. I asked for scratch resistant and no transition, I got no scratch resistant and got transitions. Now the worst part, I never got any information on how my eyes were. I went on line to find out were my glasses were (which was before I found out they were wrong) that was where I found my records. I read stuff that I didn't understand so I had to look it up on line. I'm young and that is how I found out that I have the beginning stages of cataracts and dry eye. I called the office and talked to the office manager. She was the one that discussed my eyes with me. An OFFICE MANAGER!! It was the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. I would never recommend them ever. I spent almost 500 dollars on glasses. That was after insurance. I spent 100 out of pocket on the worst office visit ever. I lost my job last year (microsoft) so I haven't been able to go to another office and I'm wearing broken glasses that are scratched and that I have to take off when I walk inside cause the transition is so dark. I worry about the cataracts because my grandfather went blind from it. I have heard how people praise this place but I wouldn't even give them 1 star if I could. They didn't even apologize or offer to fix my glasses.

They are awesome! Everyone was so nice and helpful. The eye doctor was great. Love the glasses! I had previously went to lens crafters and got glasses I hated them they were too big. At Rochester Eye care they have a great selection large and smaller ones for my face I needed a smaller pair I have never found a pair of glasses so quick that I liked! I highly recommend them!

I'm at that point where my vision is starting to get worse so I made an appointment with Dr. Gruber. My wife uses Rochester Eye Care and likes it, so that's why I came here. The eye exam was great. Dr. Gruber was helpful and nice. Once I had my prescription I almost bought my glasses online, but decided to get them at Rochester Eye Care as well. I appreciated being able to see all of the different options, try them on, and talk with an actual person about them. All three of the people I interacted with were kind and knowledgeable. The glasses were ready two weeks after I ordered them and were exactly what I was expecting. Thanks!

I can't say enough great things about Rochester Eye Care. Dr. Gruber was extremely kind to me on my first visit, taking the time to explain why he was adjusting my prescription and never making me feel rushed. But what made me write my review was when I went back a second time. Rochester Eye Care has a policy that if your prescription isn't right, you can come back within 30 days for a free reexamination AND they'll order you new lenses for free. I was ready to pay for my lenses, but the fact that they covered both was amazing. Also, at the actual reexamination (which was on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving no less!) Dr. Gruber took 30 minutes to sit with me and didn't make me feel rushed at all. He explained everything he was doing and I left feeling like I knew how my eyes worked better than ever before! I can't recommend them enough, especially if you have a lazy eye or need prism in your glasses. I would encourage my friends and family in the area to come here 100%!

Start to finish everything was explained to me in a way I could understand from my exam results to what my insurance would and wouldn't cover for glasses. James helped me pick a new pair of frames that I can feel confident in and they arrived quickly too!

It is always easy to work with Rochester Eye Care. We've been coming here for years and are very happy with the staff. This year I had better vision benefits and James really helped me maximize them. He explained fully what he was doing to get me the best deal with my insurance. Thanks James for being incredible!!

Was very happy with the I service received while choosing glasses. The optician treated me with respect and patience while I took my time finding the perfect pair of glasses for me. Highly recommend their shop!
