University Children's Eye Center

Rude staff. We have been going to this place for last 2 years. However, this time the staff was extremely rude. She put drops in my kids eyes and asked us immediately to leave the room as she wanted it for the next patient. My kid was not even able to open his eyes yet and she stood at the door asking us to leave. The doctor had put on the music with lights on the stuffies as she left the room and my kid was smiling and enjoying it. She entered the room in a rush, turned it off and put him down to put the drops. It was definitely an unpleasant experience.

I cannot express how amazing this office is. They fit my child in same day and the staff was absolutely phenomenal. From the front desk to the Doctor (saw Dr. Hughes) everyone was so sweet and helpful.

We are very thankful to Dr. Sun and Dr. Rana for treating my son after his critical injury. We feel so lucky and blessed to have had them as his doctors. With their expertise, experience, knowledge and along with God's blessings, my son is doing well. I must say, Dr. Sun is truly a genius doctor, and Dr. Rana manages the lens aspect of his treatment beautifully.

Absolutely appalled at this place. We had to wait over 2 weeks to get them to call us back just to schedule an appointment, and when we finally got the chance to do that the appointment was a month out. They waited until the morning OF the appointment to leave me a voicemail saying the Doctor was sick and so they are cancelling the appointment. Didn't give me a chance to reschedule, or even give me a direct number I could call them back to do so. Absolutely disgusted with the service here, will have to look elsewhere. The other negative reviews are absolutely correct - they never answer their phones and when they do, you won't get an appointment for at least a month. Look elsewhere if you can. To this establishment: Do something about your phone service, it's costing you your business.

Dr.Engel is amazing, he really loves children and it's passionate about his work. My daughter is a 3yo and she was afraid since we got into the room and within seconds he won her over. The office is totally children friendly, they have toys at the lobby, everything is clean and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend him with my eyes closed!

This location is absolutely terrible!! The Dr is the most condescending, rude and disrespectful person. I am shocked she still has a job. They way she spoke to me and about my child was completely inappropriate she is incapable of reading a room. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place!

Worse experience in my life and no appolizge was offered. I took my two children to this location for the first time and I understood due to covid restrictions only one parent was allowed. This is understandable. I sent my husband in with the children and I waited in the car. Shortly after entering the office my husband called my phone upset for me to come into the office...that they were holding my daughter down to put drops in her eyes. My husband said the first women tried to put the drops into my daughter's eye but was unsuccessful....she went to get help...without saying a word a much larger women came in and went straight into holding my daughter down. Now I have been to office where I had to hold my child down, but to come into a pediatric office and to have someone aggressively hold your child's head down. The other staff member told my husband "well we do have other patients you know." Excuse me when you work with children I except you to have some type of patience. My daughter said she was pushing on her eye and hurt her head and neck. During this encounter my husband told her to stop and she acted as if she was not going to. Forwarding to when I come into the office the same women attempted to aggressively restrain my daughter by putting her hand on her forehead and bared down with her weight...this women had to be close to 200 pounds and my daughter is a tall 7 year old but still a 7 year old child. So yes I removed her hand and told her to stop. She attended to restrain my daughter again, but when she realized I was not going to allow that to happen she stopped. I talked to my daughter and explained to her that they have to put drops into her eyes, she had to lay back (which my daughter asked could she sit up like her brother got to but they lied and said he laid back which my son later told me he did not lay back), I also told her that no one should put their hands on her if it makes you uncomfortable and they will not do it again. Then all of a sudden the women said she did not have to hold her down she could just put the drops in the corner of my daughter's eyes and she just had to blink. Why was that not offered before you had to use your body to hold my child down?!? When you are working with children and lose their trust they are not going to allow you to do anything with ease. Some people do not need to work with children. Now the doctor was nice, but I would have thought maybe appolizge for your staffs poor behavior. That was the first and last time we will be going to your Bridgewater office and maybe the pediatric facility all together. When you as a parent have to be put in a position to feel you can't protect your child from all the ugly things in the world that is not the place for you regardless of how nice the doctor may be. I have been up all night uneasy, but I rather not allow other parents to have to go through this experience. I wish I had a review to warn me. You have been warned!

We have seen Dr. Rousta in the past but our most recent visit was with Dr. Engle since Dr. Rousta was on vacation. Both doctors have been phenomenal with our daughter. Even though the office is packed, they take their time and answer questions and make you feel like your child is a priority. They both also are wonderful with kids and do a nice job putting them at ease.
