America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

While there are lots of America's Best locations, I am happy I decided to come to the Edgewater location. The staff was helpful, polite and pleasant. But what I am most impressed by is the thoroughness of Dr. Chin. He was great. While I am sure they are not used to seeing/treating many younger children (8 year old), he was very patient and explained everything. Despite appt being later in the day/evening, I was not rushed and he made sure I understood diagnosis, limitations my daughter vision has, and most importantly he offered a plan for correcting her vision versus just saying she needs glasses. I am thankful and look forward to further appts w/ Dr. Chin.

Very disappointing experience. I went to this optical store expecting professional service and left completely dissatisfied. The staff was unfriendly, unhelpful, and had a very arrogant attitude. The service was slow and disorganized, and it felt like they cared more about making a sale than actually helping customers. My glasses were not done correctly the first time, and when I came back to get the issue fixed, they made me feel like the problem was my fault. There was no empathy or willingness to offer a real solution. For the prices they charge, the service is terrible. I do not recommend this place at all.

Great experience at America's Best Eye Care + Eyewear. Kensy was awesome helping me schedule the appointment, Susan welcomed us and provided great service, and Laila and Kensy helped us pick out the glasses and explained everything clearly. Amazing teamwork and very helpful staff. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed my appointment was canceled and rescheduled. The staff are not accommodating nor flexible for working people. Awful service and not friendly service and staff. Will take my business elsewhere where they can give better customer service and support.

Leila is the best, I've been coming here for more than 3 years and she always welcomes me with a smile and her excellent and flawless style. Today she taught me how to put my contacts in with a lot of care and patience. SHE IS THE BEST!

I definitely should've read these reviews before I made my appointment. I went in because I saw the special they had advertised in the window. My appointment was scheduled for Friday. I got there 10 minutes early and when I got there, I was told that the system had been down in the morning and they were running an hour and a half behind schedule. I asked what I believe to be the manager if I should just leave and come back in an hour and a half and she told me no that they were taking people as they came in, did I want to reschedule? I looked around and there was only one other person in the store. I said no, I don't want to reschedule, so how long is the wait. She said an hour and a half. So now I don't know if I was dumb or if she was dumb, but that just didn't seem to make sense to me. I went home and they called me 45 minutes later and told me that I could be seen in 10 minutes, which was fine. I went over there and waited another hour and a half, did my pre-testing with attack who was very niceand then ended up leaving because the system had shut down again and then was told to come back Monday. I really should've been seen on Saturday since my appointment had been on Friday I went back on Monday and again had to wait. Had to do some of the pre-testing over. As I'm standing there looking at frames I was told I had to do another test again. I complied never complained. I then stood there and looked at glasses for another 45 minutes and then I left. I was home for an hour before anyone called to see where I went. I also heard staff talking about customers one of them referred to a customer as having the look of a serial killer. The place is a mess. The manager is unprofessional. There was one person who was very nice and I'm sorry now that I didn't get his name. To top it all off their selection of frames is garbage

Laila is a very very attentive person at Edgewater location. During 2 years, she has helped me in many ways according her position and abilities. Great great employee and always smiles giving to the customers the best. Claudia Koegler

This place is the absolute worst!! They need a new manager, i personally heard her talking about clients that walked out minutes before. The system is always "shutting down" they do not prioritize clients that had to be rescheduled due to own incompetence. It took me three appointments that each lasted over 2 1/2 hours of me sitting around doing absolutely nothing. I ended up leaving without glasses without any test results and not even an apology. I really should've looked at the reviews prior to going and saved myself the PTO hours.
