Tapia Taryn OD

I have been going here for at least 15 years and every single visit has been wonderful! I have been seeing her every 6 months now and I look forward to it every time. Today we brought my son for his first appointment and he had such a great experience. She spoke to him , (not at him (which I truly appreciate as he is old enough to understand the process of his exam)) and us (the parents) making him feel very comfortable. She gave him opportunities to ask questions and she responded professionally and at his level. She told us step by step what she was doing and the reasons for the different tests. The front staff were also great. Nothing but great things to say about this place. Thank you for your excellent service. My son's review is 5 starts and said "she is very nice and answers a lot of questions."

Dr Tapia is great and so is her brother who works there. The front desk and her name maybe Vanessa is rude and argumentative. This is perhaps the second or third time that i decided to switch after maybe after 10 years coming here..no reason to go through this attitude.. i asked her to pass on my concerns to Dr Tapia or her brother,my hunch is nothing was passed on ..

Dr. Tapia is the best eye doctor I've been to and I've been to many in NYC and the local Jersey area. I went twice for a medical eye issue. Both times she has been very knowledgeable, personable, thorough and patient. She answered all my questions and I did not feel rushed. Would def recommend!

I have no issue with the doctor. my poor rating is solely due to my experience with the front desk, particularly Vanessa. She came across as snarky and provided incorrect information, which I found frustrating. I had discussed a potential need for a prior authorization for an expensive eyedrop with the doctor in advance, and gave her a heads-up. When the need for the prior authorization was confirmed, Vanessa told me the pharmacy had to initiate it--something that I found unusual because that is typically handled by the doctor's office. When I called back and reminded her that I had already discussed this with the doctor, she then said the doctor would handle it based on my prior conversation. However, if the front desk isn't relaying that information to the doctor, how is the doctor supposed to take action? This experience left me feeling like the front desk is disorganized and not properly communicating with the medical staff. It's disappointing and reflects poorly on the overall care process.

5 members of my family have been coming to Dr. Tapia's office for years, and I'm always impressed with the care. Dr. Tapia is knowledgeable, thorough, and always takes the time to answer questions. The level of care provided by Dr. Tapia is top-notch. I leave feeling confident that my eye health is in good hands. Overall, I would highly recommend this eye doctor office to anyone in need of vision care. The staff is friendly and professional, the facilities are clean and comfortable. Alinda Vartanian Patient

I had such an amazing experience with Dr Tapia and her team from the moment I booked my appointment. The doctor is personable, caring and thorough. The office is immaculate. Dr. Tapia took her time to explain in detail, answered all my questions, reviewed the options available and made sure that I felt comfortable with my decision based on her recommendations. I highly recommend her. I am so happy I found Dr. Tapia and her team! Superb experience!

Best eye doctor, in fact BEST DOCTOR, I have ever been to. I love how she comes into the exam room fully familiar with your eye history AND with all the other conversations we've had. She's super friendly and just takes the best care of my eye needs. If every doctor was THIS good the world would be a completely different place.

I came here with my mother not knowing what to expect. My mother has a complicated ocular history, but Dr. Taryn really took the time and patience to listen to everything we had to say and took care of my mother as her own. As an optometrist myself, I can say without a doubt that Dr. Taryn is an excellent optometric physician who genuinely cares for her patients and provides a fulfilling experience. Front desk staff were also very professional and kind. Dr. Taryn exceeded our expectations, she is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable - I would recommend her to all of my family and friends!
