If you have Medicare or any covering insurance, do not pay anything upfront, wait until ALL insurance is processed accurately prior to paying balance owed if any. Obtain a receipt for payments made. Confirm that what is ordered, frames, coatings, etc., is what you want. If getting Medicare covered frames, following a cataract removal, make sure you know which frames are covered by Medicare and which are more expensive and ask what they will cost. Confirm too, that any insurance forms submitted, Medicare or private insurance, are completed accurately.
