Mayumi Mori, MD

Dr. Mori's been my children's eye doctor for many years, and I insist on them coming to her even in their 20's because there's just not another doctor like her. Her expertise and dependability will not be matched with another. I highly recommend this office as my children's eyes depend on it!

Terrible place. Not going there anymore. They don't care about your kids or your time. Dr Mayumi has a ridiculous schedule (works every 1st and last Friday and only in the mornings???), sees million patients and you can only book your appointment every hundred years. This is insane. I was told my son should come back in 6 months, but then you are not able to see the doctor in 6 months LOL This is really crazy. I do not recommend this place!

Absolutely terrible office practices. The staff is rude to children and condescending. If you have any care of how your child will be treated in the office, then I highly recommend you look elsewhere. Also, in the event you need to call the office to discuss your child you will be treated like you are wasting their time and they have more important things to do. Absolutely a disgrace for a practice dealing with children.

I initially brought my autistic son to her based on a few good reviews and her education/ training @ Mt. Sinai hospital. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a hint of kindness or patience when dealing with special needs children. I expected more from Mt. Sinai hospital's doctors and I was sorely disappointed!

Went to visit for annual check up but the office charged couple of hundred dollars which i didnt expect. Called the billing department they explained since i told the doctor i have noticed my son's blinking eyes thesedays it's not annual check up anymore. Then what i should discuss during the annual check up to make it their meaning of ' annual check up'? By the way the doctor advised excessive blinking eye issue is common for age 8.

Avoid this place. They overcharge for procedures. I took my child here and after not being satisfied with the visit I made another appointment with a different doctor to have a second opinion (a week later). Both doctors were in my insurance network and they both performed the EXACT SAME EYE EXAM (I was at both appointments). Surprisingly this doctor charged me double amount that the other office did. I understand that I have a deductible to meet but this place just want to charge you the max amount that your insurance allows. AVOID THIS PLACE
