Horizon Eye Care

I had a medical issue that had to be addressed. The initial reply was no appointments until April, but the staff was able to accommodate me within 2 days. My appointment was Tuesday and today (Friday) is the first time my eyes are comfortable again! ! I cannot thank the staff and Dr. Shissias enough!

I had to post a great review to recognize Andrea in the optical center in Galloway. My son and I came in this morning to pick out new glasses and Andrea and as simply amazing. She was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. And in the short time we spoke and she saw what styles we were drawn to, she pulled out some frames from storage and they were perfect! This had to be the quickest and easiest trip to pick out glasses. Thank you, Andrea!!

I have been getting eye exams for years at Horizon but this is the first time having glasses be made due to change in insurance. I waited 2 1/2 weeks for the first pair of progressive bifocals that were not made correctly. The woman that helped me tried to gaslight me saying it would take a few days for my eyes to adjust. Close vision was blurry. Then noticed my script from the year before was significantly different and that possibly my eye exam would need to be redone. I got a call from a manager, they were not redoing my exam but were remaking my glasses and would put in as a rush. It took another 2 weeks. I also still did not have the 2nd pair for computer glasses. Today I went in to get both pairs. Again, still not correct. Distance was fine, close up still not clear. Had 2 different ladies try to make adjustments, try them on, make more adjustments and nothing. The final straw was them both trying to get me to take the glasses to try them for a few days. Obviously, they just wanted to get rid of me. When I said I'm not taking them and want to return them, I was told no manager is available until Monday, a week from now due to the holidays. I was never fitted at all for the glasses, and when I mentioned that, I was told no, you were cause there are measurements. I have nerve damage and one side of my face is crooked. So glasses need to be fitted first then measured. So I know why they are wrong, but neither rep wanted to listen. I also saw my script was crossed out and new numbers were written down without having a new eye exam. So of course they are going to be wrong. The computer glasses were also not fitted or adjusted at all but they insisted I take them as well. Those seemed to be ok but now at work, they are not right as well and uncomfortable. Now waiting for a manager to call me to rectify the situation.

The office is beautiful and has a huge selection of glasses. I wanted to shoutout the front desk assistant Chevonne for being so helpful! Also thank you to Kelly, who assisted me with my frames and helped me pick a nice pair. I already recommended the Galloway office to my family.

I had a wonderful experience with the whole practice in two different offices. I went for what I thought was a sty, but the Cape May Courthouse office sent me to see Dr McLaughlin in Galloway because it was a cyst. Made the appointment and he had it prepped and off in less than an hour! It geeked beautifully and I'm super grateful for the great experience!

Annett was amazing in helping me pick out frames. She was pleasant and extremely helpful making it an enjoyable experience. Dr. Killion was thorough and professional. I highly recommend both of them!

Very busy and efficient medical office. Large staff and Drs all professional, competent, and courteous. Parking spaces in Margate Surgery Center are limited so street parking might be necessary. Morning parking ok, afternoon limited. However, Surgery center in Margate, NJ is a well oiled machine.

Always great customer service. Staff is friendly, helpful and considerate. Dr McLaughlin is patient, answers questions in laymen's terms and always recommends follow-up for any issues. The best eye care!
