Dr. Eleanor L. Cheng, MD

I went to Dr. Cheng for DMEK and Cataract surgery. She was recommended highly. She is assisted by a personal surgical coordinator, Doni Costa, who handles arrangements, forms, and medications prior to and after the surgery. I completed the exam regiment and had an appointment for the surgery; but the required medication did not arrive. When it finally can it was not as prescribed by Dr. Cheng. I both called and wrote both to Dr, Cheng and Ms. Costa. Some changes were made; but I still did not receive what was prescribed. Again I called and wrote; but I was never able to speak with Dr. Cheng, either the messages were not getting through or she was too busy or otherwise occupied. Without having the required medication at hand, I had no choice but to cancel the surgery. I explained this to Dr. Cheng and Ms. Costa. I received no replies, except a persistent invoice for services rendered, even thou my account was paid in full. At this time Dr. Cheng is threatening to take me to court for a balance I do not owe. I suggest you find another surgeon because communication is impossible with Dr. Cheng. They are still billing me for work not performed.

Dr. Cheng performed cataract surgery for both my grandmother and my grandfather, and they asked me to write a review online to express their gratitude. They've been especially pleased with their recovery and mentioned that Dr. Cheng provided very clear guidance about the days following the operation. Both of them were nervous and Dr. Cheng's calm, patient manner put them at ease. They are thrilled with the results.

(Called E. Lillian Cheng MD on their site) I have had the first of two cataract surgeries. It's kind of a crazy and scary thing they do, but Dr. Cheng and the rest of the team really put me at ease. It's quite a large office and large practice, which is a good thing I think. Anyway, I would gladly recommend her.

Dr. Cheng is one of the best I have ever known. My entire families and friends are Dr. Cheng's patients.
