Dr Lucia and staff were very friendly and the exam was process that went smoothly with the tests I had to do.

She permanently ruined my vision through a botched cataract surgery (placed the wrong, mismatched lens in one eye). It has been a year since she operated on both my eyes and my vision is worse than it was prior to the surgery. She didn't explain any trade-off in vision ( i have lost all nearsighted vision) nor the fact that I now need glasses for BOTH distances, after paying for a Multifocal lens for both eyes because she said it would guarantee perfect vision for near and far. I DID NOT HAVE TO WEAR GLASSES PRIOR TO SURGERY. MY VISION WAS 20/20 BESIDES THE CATARACTS AFFECTING ME IN SUNLIGHT. SURGERY WAS UNNECESSARY AND SHE WAS CLEARLY ONLY MOTIVATED FINANCIALLY. She informed me after operating on my second eye that she made a mistake in the first eye. I was still healing so I thought my blurry vision would clear up. Visited 6 eye doctors after learning of her mistake, all of whom recommended I do NOT get the surgery redone because there is a much riskier chance something goes wrong, given the nature of IOL lens replacement (cataract ) surgery to be a "one and done" procedure since the lens begins to settle and scar in the eye. Meaning that I had a much higher chance of losing vision or permanently damaging my eyesight further if I had her exchange the lens. Didn't offer any financial compensation. I spent 10k to have my vision worsened, and I was only 25. Worst doctor ever, stay away. Poor communication, poor practice, no empathy.
