Beware! Old people! After telling Dr. Birdi that I don't tolerate versed/midazolam well and to please have the anesthesiologist provide a different sedative, I believe that I was never given a sedative. During the cataract removal, I felt significant pain and discomfort. I felt him tear a protective surgical sheet with strong adhesive off my face, in a harsh manner. Dr. Birdi didn't respond to my groans. I didn't want to speak up during such a delicate procedure - there's a knife in my eye. Dr. Birdi reprimanded me the following day when I told him about my experience. He showed no compassion. For my first cataract removal, I was told to come in early - but then I had to wait in their sunny waiting room for over 3 hours with my eyes dilated. When I told Ella, one of the managers, about my experience, she said she would arrange to have a different surgeon within the group remove the cataract from my other eye. She hasn't returned my phone calls nor responded back to my office visits. It was a very unprofessional experience from start to finish.

Dr. Neal greeted me so nicely and made me feel very comfortable through my visit and very thorough with information. Fast paced and knowledgeable with his questions and concerns. As well as the receptionist team upfront ( Dominque ) who took me in quickly and processed everything with no issues whatsoever! The eye tech Lenor was wonderful and made everything easy paced. Working in the medical from experience this is true professionalism , Having patience, and making sure the patient is comfortable is top tier ! Will be back again for my routine check up !

My experience with Dr. Athwal and his team has been nothing short of exceptional. I have been a patient for over 15 years, and I have always been treated with patience, kindness, and exceptional attention. Dr. Neal, in particular, is an incredibly informative and attentive doctor who truly listens to his patients. The practice as a whole has helped me immensely, especially with issues I experienced after undergoing Lasik surgery in 2014. Without their expertise and care, I would have continued to suffer greatly. Thanks to Dr. Athwal's accurate diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support, I am now able to live a comfortable, pain-free life.
The only downside to my experience has been the front desk staff, who could benefit from some customer service training. However, this does not reflect on the practice as a whole, which I highly recommend to anyone in need of top-notch eye care.
