Mixed feelings about this place; actually I'd say it was an awful experience if not for Michael. He's probably the only employee who they should keep at this location. He was above & beyond. He remembered my Sons name and explained everything he was going to do. He made the tests fun and comfortable, even explaining that one was kind of like a video game to capture a picture of his eyes. Even watching him interact with other families before us was touching; he's patient, kind, and personable. The doctor was also awesome. Took his time, explained everything to my Son & I. Very helpful & answered all my questions. Now for the rest of the experience. When we first walked in, there was no welcome, no guidance. I just stood there awkwardly until one of the women acknowledged me standing there (none of them were doing anything). I let that go and continued to the eye exam. After we were finished with the doctor, he told us the girls would help us in picking glasses for my Son. Again, I stood there waiting to be helped and these girls looked at me like I was doing something wrong. So I asked which section was for children and how it all worked. No one wanted to work apparently because they were all useless. My Son tried on some glasses and picked the ones he liked. I felt like I inconvenienced the staff by asking about pricing and how to check out. Needless to say, I was so frustrated with the entire experience that I decided I wouldn't give my money to this location. Not to mention it was also nearly $500! I went to Costco optical and got similar frames & much better lenses for $120, and was helped by such an amazing staff. If I were an undercover boss, I would've been incredibly disappointed by all of the women working at this location. They clearly need a retraining and some lessons on customer service. Michael could teach them; he's one of a kind.

Everyone was very patient and knowledgeable in their dept. The Dr documented well so that the gentleman who rung me up could know what lens strength to order. I just wish I knew like 30 mins prior that u could use ANY of the frames and make them into sunglasses lol. It was fine tho. I had time. The gentleman explained all the different kinds of lenses and their purpose. Very very sweet. Good experience

There is always a new employee and a new set of rules. I don't think I have ever had a good experience at this location. However, today was the absolute worst experience ever. A new hire was unavailable to effectively explain why we were suddenly paying out of pocket for a prescription. The "doctor" injected herself into the conversation and was no better at explaining why we had to pay out of pocket today when we never had before. Her inability to explain herself or the policy resulted in absolute gaslighting. My informing her not to tell me what my experience with the company had been only cause her to double down and gaslight further. The employees excalated the situation instead of de-escalating it. They could have pulled up our records and resolved the situation but they just wanted to be right and not helpful. I will happily pay out of pocket at a professional establishment that is capable of explaining to me and treating me like a valued customer. Stay away they are unprofessional.

The eye technician was so polite and accommodating (i am in a wheelchair), and he made me feel comfortable while he did my tests. The Optometrist was so polite as well. He informed me that my eyes are improving actually which is a big concern of mine and made me feel relaxed and happy. The women in the front who order the glasses were very polite and knowledgeable as well, and Christine did a fantastic job making me feel taken care of and like a regular person. It was really a great experience. I will continue using this Vision works location for as long as I live locally to it!

Completely unprofessional staff. Sales staff that is. The front desk gentleman was great. Very personable and good luck on your future endeavors! The female doctor was great and knowledgeable. But the sales ladies leave much to be desired. The blond one with excessive jewelry and unkempt dragon lady nails is EXTREMELY unprofessional and encourages staff to be just as unprofessional. The young lady "helping" me did not want to be there and was shouting over to my desk from hers. She didn't explain the types of lenses available, which as a sales person is a great selling point. Nope, no help whatsoever and seemed like she didn't want to be there. Keep the front desk future cop, keep the doctors, lose the lazy unprofessional sales staff.

I came in to Visionworks to get my eyeglasses cleaned today. Victor the associate greeted me first. He politely asked me what he could help me with. I proceeded to tell him. He said no problem. Then he brought my glasses into the back to put them into the machine to clean them. Before I knew it my glasses were finished. It took only five minutes. I also would like to mention the store manager named Mike. He is very friendly and professional. He went above and beyond for me. I definitely recommend this establishment.

The staff was friendly and courteous. Mallary especially was so helpful and knowledgeable of styles, colors and shapes of the glasses as well as people's faces!she took her time ( measured twice ,cut once)! Vision Works never steered me wrong. Thank you

The Visionworks in Tom River were professional and efficient. The staff were helpful, especially Mallary. She was patient and resolved our insurance issues. The eye doctors and technicians were thorough with our eye exams. Our overall experience was excellent! We will definitely return.
