Witlin Center for Advanced Eye Care

I recently had an eye exam at another optometrist on 9/11/25. I was having vision problems in my left eye 5 years after having had cataract surgery. She told me that cells were growing over the new lens that was put in and I would need a laser treatment. She recommend the Witlin Center. I went there 9/13. and had another exam and it was confirmed I needed to have a "YAG" laser procedure done. The surgical coordinator for Dr. Desai contacted me to schedule my procedures. One eye would be done 10/22 and the other on 10/29/25. I was sent paperwork confirming the appointments. It stated someone would call in a prescription for eye drops for after the treatments and they would call the day before for the procedure time. The information also stated I could call at anytime for any questions I may have. Well I waited until the day before and at 1:10 pm I called and got an answering machine and I also email the coordinator.I didn't hear back so I called again after 4pm and the office was closed. The answering service said the office closed at 3PM and they could not contact anyone. (why have a service then) I never had the prescription called in or anyone call. I called the first doctors office to tell them to never recommend the Within Center to anyone. That's when the coordinator was calling at 12:10pm the day of my supposed procedure. I listened to her message she stated that she forgot to put my procedure appointment in the computer so I was never scheduled). She would be able to schedule me for the next week 10/29 for the procedure. So I called her back to complain but again I got the answering machine. I just left a message saying I have made an appointment with another doctor whose office is more professional. One who has coordinator who does their job. That office has already confirmed my appointment by text.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The Witlin Center called at 9:10 AM to cancel my grandmother's 9:30 appointment -- the third cancellation we've experienced. What made this even more frustrating was the requirement that my mother attend the appointment in person simply because the doctor "needed someone younger to speak with," despite the fact that my grandfather was already accompanying my grandmother. My mother lives an hour and a half away, yet when she offered to join via phone or a paid telemedicine visit, the tech, Michelle, states the doctor refused and said she had to come in or they would not see my grandmother. Naturally, my mother was frustrated. We understand that emergencies happen -- our own family is dealing with several cancer battles -- but a medical office should have protocols or staff who can step in to prevent repeated last-minute cancellations. Instead, my mother was met with unnecessary attitude from Michelle. I had to step in and explain, again, that we understand emergencies; however, demanding that someone attend an appointment that isn't even for them, simply because they're younger, is unreasonable. To make matters worse, just a week ago my grandmother was given eye drops during an appointment that sent her to the ER due to an allergic reaction. "Disappointed" doesn't begin to describe how my family has been treated here. Unfortunately, based on our experience, it's clear why this office has so many poor ratings.

Horrible experience. I tried to schedule an appointment and was swamped with questions. They said I need to have a condition to get an appointment. Due to my age and some health conditions, I want to be seen by an ophthalmologist, not an optometrist. I wanted an eye exam by an ophthalmologist, and I had to have a medical reason for the consultation, or they wouldn't give me an appointment. So frustrating. Fortunately, I contacted another eye care provider who gave me an appointment promptly without demanding a reason for the consultation.

The last two times I've visited this office I have had the pleasure of meeting with Ashley. I have never met someone who worked in a doctors office that had such a wonderful attitude towards life. She's hilarious and personable. Her demeanor just brings a smile to your face. I wish you could bottle up her energy and sell it. She definitely eased my anxiety during both of my appointments.

Between Dr. Hannah, Dr. Sica and Dr. Desai, my eyes have been saved. I have "glaucoma risk " and they have literally helped save me from going in to full blown glaucoma. Ashley W is a joy and an added benefit when going to the eye doctor. She has a great personality, great sense of humor, and is just an overall delight!

Doctors I dealt with we're unattainable after the first procedure.. They did not call me back when I had problems with the medication prescribed and left me in great pain with no response.. If you want to continue seeing, do not go here.

Everyone in the office is amazing! They are so kind, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Ashley is a doll.! I've had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Lesko twice now and he is such a great doctor with incredible bedside manner. He's very thorough asked me a lot of questions and based on my answers, took the extra time an extra care to exam my eyes and run the appropriate tests for my needs. Even when it comes to meds that he prescribed me, he tells me if I have to pay out-of-pocket and it's too expensive not to do it that we will find an alternative route, which in this world I think is extremely difficult to find someone that cares so much. Unfortunately, I've had to see hundreds of doctors over the past four years and I can tell you he is one of the best! Immediately you can tell that he enjoys what he does. Most importantly, for me, takes the time has the he's kind to me in the hundreds of questions I ask him all the time! I highly recommend this practice.

One of the best doctor's appointments I've ever had - zero wait time, friendly staff and they have an amazing new office. I saw Dr. Worthington who is one of the best doctors around. She is knowledgeable, friendly and takes the time to explain each step as she evaluates you. I highly recommend both the Witlin Center and Dr. Worthington.
