Dr.'s Eyeland

Last week, my husband shared with me that he was seeing " spider webs" in both eyes. This immediately alarmed me and I called Dr Melman's Eyeland. ( Eyeland has always been our provider for eye glasses and Dr Melman is such a professional for eye exams and determining eye health) What occurred after my call to the Eyeland staff was incredible in today's medical world. Even though Dr Melman schedule was full when I called, the staff was able to make an appointment that day. After seeing my husband, Dr Melman had concerns and called to the local Will's Eye physicians office. With Dr Melman's help, my husband was seen by the Will's Eye retina specialist within the hour! Thank you Eyeland and Dr. Melman! My husband and I appreciate your professionalism and concern!

Dr. Melman has been fine, but his front desk staff could use some training in customer service. I received a year's supply of contact lenses and have been slowly going through them. I recently opened a new box and began to pull out a contact lens when I noticed the prescription on this particular box was wrong. I called the office so that they could replace the incorrect box with my correct prescription. The woman on the phone was very nice and apologetic. However, when I came into the office to exchange the boxes, the woman there made me feel awkward and uncomfortable. She noticed the box I was returning was already opened, and she turned to her coworkers to loudly complain as if I wasn't even there. "Of course the box is open! Now we won't even be able to return them!", and so on. Another staff member at the desk then told me, "Next time, don't open the box so that we can return them". First of all, there shouldn't be a next time. I had to go out of my way and take time out of my schedule to go back to your office to exchange the wrong prescription, only to be met with an attitude and made to feel like I had done something wrong. This isn't the first time that the front desk staff had made me feel uncomfortable. I didn't notice the box contained the wrong prescription until after I took the contacts out with the intention of using them. I just assumed that the contacts you gave me were the ones that I ordered. Maybe from now on, you should double check that the contacts you are giving to your customers are the correct prescription first.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Melman for years. He's caring, considerate, thorough and always makes time to answer your questions or concerns. His staff....the best bunch in the business!! They are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. The selection of glasses is top notch! Every designer brand you can think of! Anita will make sure you pick the best fit for your "new face". You've tried the rest, now just go to the best...Eyeland!

When I started wearing progressive lenses a few years back, I wasn't happy with my first pair from a different provider, as they really distorted my vision, so I set out to find the best Optician in the area - which led me to Anita at Eyeland. Since then, I've been a regular customer, even though it's a little out of my way. Anita is extremely knowledgable & talented, very friendly, and tolerant of my perfectionist/fussy nature - and every pair of glasses & lenses I've gotten have been great. And the rest of the staff there are always very friendly as well, and make customer service a top priority. I highly recommend Eyeland.

My family has been seeing Dr Melman for many years. You couldn't find better. He has a professional demeanor and does a very thorough exam. We trust him completely with our eye care. In their frame shop they have a good variety, and their personal service is top notch. If you need something special, they will go out of their way to get it for you. I have a complicated prescription and they send my script to Germany for special handling. Turnaround time is reasonable and I know I'm getting a top quality product.

OMG this place is amazing! My son and I stopped in he needed glasses before he went off to college and boy did they help us out! Anita and Alicia are unbelievable and made our process so simple and enjoyable! Don't think twice about it get there if you need glasses, we will be back in the future

Dr Melman's team was extremely kind and helpful to me when I had an eyeglass emergency while I was visiting New Jersey from Atlanta. I can not say enough about how understanding and helpful they were to someone who lives out of town. I am grateful for their service and happy to know there are such nice people in the world.

Down syndrome mom, here. Went here specifically because they carried specs4us at the time. I was really let down by the associates comment when I asked to see them. She said "they make kids look they have something wrong with them". So i was totally swayed into going with another brand. Here I am 2 years later and struggling to find a glasses brand that works for him and his physical features. Really wish I had a better experience.
