Marvelous Opthalmologist that both my wife and I have happily used for many years. He is patient, explains things clearly and is very accessible in the event of any matter that might need urgent attention. His staff is also very knowledgeable and supportive.

This is Ron's wife posting. Ron& I are long time patients of Dr.Mirsky. I saw him on Friday & as usual, received wonderful care. Dr. Mirsky is kind & very thorough & answered all my questions. He also took wonderful care of my parents( who are now passed awsy). The staff is friendly & helpful. I have recommended Dr.Mirsky to others & will continue to do so. We now live about an hour away & are still driving to Dr.Mirsky for eye care. Mary

For some reason my husband's name is coming up as submitting this review when it is in fact me that has been treated by Dr Mirsky. Oh well! I was referred by a friend who's also a doctor to Dr Mirsky about a year ago. Never have I felt more comfortable with an ophthalmologist since a dear friend who was mine for yrs passed away. Dr Mirsky is patient, gentle and simply put, kind-hearted. He is never rushed, always professional and runs his small practice the old school way. This is not a big, fancy, business-first operation. It's about practicing medicine in its true form- without a corporate overseer. Dr Mirsky performed cataract surgery on me- both eyes in the last month. He does not use laser and in fact, discourages it because of all the patients he sees that have had this surgery using lasers with issues afterward. He also was honest about going for lenses beyond the basic ones. In other words, he does not "up sell". We are talking old fashioned, honest medicine delivered by a caring and talented doctor and I highly recommend Dr Mirsky! Ginger H

Dr. Mirsky is excellent! He has been my ophthalmologist for many years. He is thorough, brilliant and a compassionate doctor.

Dr. Mirsky is the best there is! I was trying to find a new ophthalmologist nine years ago (mine had passed away) and had been to three different doctors, none of them pleased me. I had terrible vision and I knew I needed cataract surgery, so I wanted to make sure I found a doctor that was not only totally competent, but also with good bedside manner. Dr. Mirsky was terrific from day one. I remember I even had a Saturday morning appointment because when I told the receptionist I could not see, she squeezed me in. Dr. Mirsky explained what needed to be done in a very calm manner, because I am a very nervous patient. I made my appointment for my first surgery and actually could not wait for the second one to be done. Unfortunately, I had a complication (not his doing) but I developed a detached retina, so he made me an appointment with a specialist. You may have to wait long in the waiting room, but it is worth it because Dr. Mirsky is superb. I met people who came from NY (originally NJ residents) but come here because he is so great. I recommended him to three people, all of whom were very pleased. His office is over 45 minutes from my house, but to me, this is worth it. At the time of my cataracts, he did not even take my insurance, but I had such confidence in him that I paid out of pocket. Now he does take my plan so that is even better. Dr. Mirsky always calls back (even when I go to Florida) if you have an issue and he is not an alarmist at all. If you are looking for an outstanding doctor, make your appointment now.

I have been a patient since Dr MIRSKY began his practice in West Orange. I trust him implicitly.

Our family has been Dr. Mirsky's patient for quite a few years, we love him and will stay with him for sure! He is the best! Professional, care, detailed, nice, fun, artistic! We saw one review said his stuff was rude, we remember there was once a lady in the front desk who was kind of rude and we never saw her smile. But after a few times we found that she had a bad manner, just like she was always in a bad mood and she brought it to her job, she was not a bad person.

Best eye doctor. Great results from his care to maintaining and improve eyesight. Patient with seniors. Always caring to our needs and goes above and beyond. Was great to my mom and actually called back to see how she was.
