Dr. David J. Mellish, OD

Had my visit with Dr. Mellish. Very impressed with the office, the staff and Dr. Mellish himself. I felt like I was home. Very knowledgeable, friendly and able to put up with absent minded me. Every step was clearly explained. I would recommend everyone!

I absolutely would never go back to this office!!!! I usually use America's best but of course they don't see kids under 7(ish). So I had to find an optometrist who was able to see my little girl. The front desk was absolutely AMAZING with my 4 yr old. Our appointment was scheduled at 11 am 7/23. I already had all the paperwork filled out with ins cards/license in hand. My daughter is in Pre k and failed her eye exam so of course I didn't bring in the paperwork (because its 6 months old) I assumed they could do their own exam since the paperwork was old. Instead of doing their own exam, (after 50 mins past her appointment time now) Dr. Mellish decided to send me back home to get the paperwork and told us to come back. He seemed completely uninterested in doing his job or dealing with my child. My child will sit and get xrays at the dentist, she was excited to come see a new Dr., by the time we left she was in tears because he had absolutely NO bedside manner with me let alone my little girl. This was her first time seeing an eye doctor so I'm hoping he didn't ruin her experience with another Dr that now she has to go to. If you have a little kid please do not bring them here. The only reason they got 2 stars was because the front desk was great.

Everyone in this office is so nice. Dr Mellish treats you like family and he is so experienced and knowledgeable. I wish more doctors offices were as kind as this professional team. Always an enjoyable visit. God bless your work Dr Mellish and team.

Dr Mellish was nice, but I'm also a 30 year old woman and he treated me like a 10 year old kid. Personal preference, but it bothers me to be referred to "kiddo". Also, I literally cannot see and he said my eyes are fine. I went to a different eye doctor after and they said I need glasses for astigmatism. Which makes sense since I can't see when I drive at night. His office also was very messy, I didn't see him sanitize his hands at all before or after touching any tools. And there was a cat there- which I am highly allergic to. Not a great experience, felt like a waste of time.

He's more experienced then you know. Just 1 visit sitting in the waiting room. You'll understand. Yes I am one of his patients not some moron with a conflict of interest posting this msg. The rating is based on the visit and diagnosis only! I'd highly recommend him very highly.

Dr. Mellish is an excellent optometrist and an even friendlier person. I have been a patient of his since 1990 and enjoy each of my visits. I absolutely recommend Dr. Mellish!

Dr. Mellish is knowledgeable and always cheerful. His office staff is wonderful too. Chances are you will leave his office smiling!

I've been coming here since 1997. That should tell you something! Dr. Mellish and his staff are absolutely the best.
