Doctor wasn't helpful at all when I asked questions related to Eyes conditioned. I'm definitely not returning back to that place again. I felt like he was just ignoring me. Every questions asked him he aways give me a funny answer. I'm done with that place. I will provide a 0 rating for him. Mr. Rivera

Dr.Kalinowski is an excellent eye doctor. She is smart, knowledgeable, and is a great communicator. My husband and I always feel very confident in her recommendations and the manner she manages the care of our eyes. We both have eye issues, and we have been going to her for over 7 years, and she has never steered us wrong! We highly recommend Dr. Kalinowski - you won't be disappointed!

I absolutely love Dr. Hammersmith and have been a patient of his for more than 20 years. However, my experience with the optical shop has been disappointing. The customer service has not recovered since COVID. Phone calls are not returned, and during my recent visit I was told I could not order contacts because they did not have an updated prescription on file, even though I had just seen the doctor that morning before going downstairs. I had to return to the front desk to request a printed copy of my prescription. After that experience, I chose to place my order through the Maple location, which has become my preference as service at Elmwood has declined.

Dr. Hammerstein is so very patient and thorough and makes sure you get the care you need and his staff at both the Maple road and Elmwood ave locations are awesome as well. I definitely highly recommend this practice.

This is mostly for those that need contacts. I scheduled at the Elmwood branch for the convenience of location and being newer to the area I needed a new doctor. When I scheduled the appointment they told me after I was done they would transfer me to contacts so I could have my fitting. Now I have had glasses and contacts the majority of my life and it's not unheard of that you would need to meet with the contacts department so I said okay. I was transferred there, no one answered and I left a message. No one called me back. I called again several days later and they told me that no one was doing fittings at this time because the last person quit. I said well should I just cancel my exam then because I need both or can I get a call if you hire someone. They told me that I could call back but no one would call me. Fine so I call a couple weeks before my appointment. They hired someone but of course they can't get both appointments on the same date. You also can't have both departments talk to each other to see if you can get the same approx date/time. I was very confused but separately booked appointments. I go in for the fitting today and surprise - it's going to be $85 --- which I guess I should count myself lucky as it is usually $100. I was told the doctor won't do contact scripts so they have you do a separate exam. Even the contacts fitting technician said they should be much more transparent about this. I left and I won't be back. I guess lucky for me, I have my insurance renewing before I need more contacts but also I would pay literally anyone else for a separate contacts fitting at this point before going back to this dumpster fire. Oh and as for the actual eye exam - it went okay. I wasn't really pleased when they wanted me to take out my contacts without letting me wash my hands first. I did insist and got to go into their public restroom to wash them.

Dr. Styn is kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. He is a pure pleasure to be treated by. He made my eye exam very simple for me to understand. Also, his assistant Andy was a pure pleasure!!!

Very clean! Called Tuesday & appt was made for following day! Waiting room time went quickly. Efficient, warm, professional! All employed there were busy busy busy ensuring the best patient quality care. Very happy!!! I highly recommend them! A true blessing!!!!!

Did not have to wait long. Love when my time is also respected. Spent 1 and half hours with me which made me feel they were thorough and competent. I'd go again. .Will b doing my cataracts there
