Please make it extremely clear that your address on main street is not an entrance ...doors are locked...sucks parking on main ,walking to find the entrance locked. The front desk staff really needs to smile a bit more put otherwise they were efficient. Dr Patel and her support staff are VERY understanding and friendly .
Incompetent is how I would describe everything about this place/experience.
No one was rude per se, however, I went there specifically to have my eyes checked to get a sign off for medication I need for an autoimmune disease- I said that when I made the appointment AND when I was with the provider in the appointment. I had to repeatedly call to actually get the sign off days after my appointment because they failed to do this and send it to my rheumatologist. Multiple calls later, got that done. Next issue- tried TWICE to pick up my prescription that the provider at Ross prescribed for me, get to pharmacy only to be told that they dosed it incorrectly and could not be filled. Again, this happened TWICE. The amount of time I spent on chasing down all of this was ridiculous and extremely inconvenient.
UPDATE: Drove there today (to Ross) after going to Wegmans for a third time, only to be told they (Ross) still haven't fixed the issue with the script. They apologized, told me it would be corrected. This was in the morning. No call to tell me it has been resolved, and Wegmans STILL has not received it. Today is 2 weeks from when my appointment was and I still don't have my medication!!
Wonderful staff on site at the location my son was seen. They were absolutely fantastic and a pleasure, however the phone operators are terrible. Spoke with someone today who was extremely rude, over talked me while i was explaining my needs, and multiple times said "she shouldn't even be explaining anything to me" and proceeded to explain. When I asked to speak to someone else because of her attitude, not only did she rush getting my information but hung up when i asked for her name. This is by no far a reflection of the staff I dealt with in person as they were great, however the phone operator was absolutely terrible
Called for over 2-3 weeks to let them know I could not make an appointment we scheduled, even left a messages. Call emergency line no one answers, call the doc follow up no one answers.
Get a bill in the mail for $40 no show, call again and can not get through to anyone. Phone line states that they will be back from lunch at 12:30 no matter what day or time we call.
Finally go to the location and the doors are locked this was right at 4pm. Finally someone came and let us in and they tell us doors lock at 4pm and the woman that was outside was already there for 10 min.
Call the billing depart we are sent to a number for the UB registers office. Call the emergency number and you are on hold and that's it.
Also increased their no show fee to $50 but there is no way to contact to change appointments etc.
During my visit on September 29th, I was given two prescriptions, one for computer and reading, and another for driving. At check-out, I was given two of the same prescriptions, which I didn't notice until I arrived home. From September 30th to October
7th, I called and sent messages to obtain the correct prescriptions, but to no avail. There is no response from this establishment. I don't think I will ever revisit this place. The customer service is very poor. However, this is not a reflection on the doctor.
Yesterday I had an appointment scheduled for 10am. Arrived as requested 15 minutes early. About a 1/2 hour into the time I was brought back for an initial exam. Following this short exam I was sent to an interior waiting room - I didn't see the specialist until nearly 1 1/2 hours later. Overall - the appointment / exam, etc. took 3 hours and 13 minutes. This is NOT good customer service. As a professional myself - my time as is the specialist's time equally of value. Very disappointing. Additionally - a test they had to perform on me was not at the main site, but rather at another one of their offices. This THEY scheduled for me for today. Upon arrival - I had to pay an additional "co-pay". Seriously? This to me was a money grab. Very sad commentary.
Another, quick and easy appointment! The staff, keeps things moving along and are very professional. I go to both, Orchard Park and Main St. Buffalo, locations. Dr. Maddow, is the best and I always appreciate, the appointments, that end in..."All looks good, see you, in 6 months!"
Thank you, Ross Eye Institute!
