I've been a patient of Mark Fleckner, M.D. for many years now, and I still believe he and his staff are the best in this field. I will continue going to him, and I highly recommend him for anyone who wants the best team of dedicated professionals. 5-STAR's

Do NOT go to this Dr.! My 78 year old Father is now blind in his right eye after a series of shots for his diabetic neuropathy from Dr Fleckner. He developed a severe infection from these injections that this Dr was giving to him. This then led to a detached retina. In addition, he was scheduled for knee replacement and this Doctor said the infection was cleared and would not be a problem for surgery. After my Father was prepped and ready for surgery, his knee Doctor came in and asked him about the eye infection which then led to the surgery being cancelled. The infection was NOT cleared and Dr Fleckner should not have cleared him for surgery. I personally contacted Dr Fleckner while my Father was on the the operating table and he was seemingly annoyed that I questioned him judgement as far as my Father being cleared for surgery. The pain and suffering that my Father has gone thru due to the negligence of this Dr is not only overwhelming but life changing for my family. All this Dr cares about is money and not the patient. My Father has had his independence stripped form him due to the negligence of Dr Fleckner's treatment. He is now in the care of kind and compassionate doctors at the VA and he is dealing with the forever loss of his vision. I hope everyone reads this review and goes elsewhere for treatment. I am forced to give 1 star but would give a negative 0 is I could.

Dr. M. Fleckner is a great specialist. I've been his patient since 2006 and he has helped my vision tremendously. Great human being and I thank God for him. I pray God will continue to protect, bless all that concerns him.

Dr. Mark Fleckner is the absolute best in his field hands down! In 2010 I was referred to Dr. Fleckner because I was experiencing flashing white lights in my left eye. It so happened that I had a detached retina and holes in my eye that Dr. Fleckner quickly addressed performing emergency surgery. If he did not perform the surgery as he did I would've been blind today. I owe everything to Dr. Fleckner, I owe him my life! Without your sight, you loose everything, he restored my sight and I will be forever grateful for him. God Bless him! On another occasion I had to ring him on his emergency line, he picked up the phone and listened to my visual concerns and perfectly and calmly described to me that I was experiencing an ocular migraine and that my symptoms should subside on their own (which they did) and he assured me to call him if they didnt and would see me. Dr. Fleckner is just God sent for me, I will always, always, always speak of Dr. Fleckner in high regard, I recommend everyone to him. Ignore the fake bad reviews, people are cruel and just want to put a bad name on this man, he loves what he does and we need more people like him in the world. -Rosa M

Dr. Fleckner is a very, very talented specialist, but he has all the compassion of a fast-food cattle rancher. He runs his well-tuned practice like a conveyor belt; rather deferring to his assistant to briefly --at best-- explain what it was that he just whisked in to do...the man should be wearing a cape. But the fact remains; if he's the guy plunging two-inch needles into the eyes of his 90-year-old patients, he should at least have the poise and common courtesy to offer explanation and reassurance to the entire procedure--especially when the patient is experiencing an adverse result. I saw this first hand, and when my mom had concerns regarding the side-effects of a drug he administered for the second time, his only explanation--as he was already stretching for the door was, "maybe it's a coincidence." I'll tell you what is not a coincidence: that following this hasty experience did I immediately find a new ophthalmologist to care for my mom.

I think Dr. Fleckner is superb but his staff can be very up and down. There is a bit of a rotating door in some areas. He has evolved his practice a lot and I give him a lot of credit for that. He runs a really busy office. Wait times can fluctuate but they always try and keep you moving so you don't sit too long. The staff could be more consistent...that's my only thing. Some are really sweet and some are moody.

Doctor Gila Zilkha is the friendliest knowledgeable Doctor I've ever come in contact with. Doctor Mark Fleckner is the chief physician, the staff is comfortable to be with. Again thanking Doctor Zilkha for restoring my right eye all these years. She has a wonderful approach to all her patients, a smile that will knock your eye out ( and she'll put it back in with care ). She has a wonderful family, a handsome looking Son, and a daughter, that you will see someday dancing on a broadway stage, and a wonderful care father. Dr, Gila has a up coming future, bless her and her family.
