If I could give them a minus star, I would. This is the worst practice I have ever experienced in my life. It is like going to a factory. There is no way to contact a live person after hours -- not even the doctor on call will call you back! I had a procedure done on my eye and was supposed to begin medication immediately. I was advised that it was called into my pharmacy. When I went to my pharmacy to pick it up, I was told that nothing was called in. I called the doctor's office and received a recording that the office was closed and left a message. When I never received any call back, I left another and then another later that evening. Still, no call back. The recording indicated that the office would be open on Saturday from 9-1. So, I called again first thing in the morning and received a recording that the office was closed! However, I did finally receive a message from someone in the office to find out whether or not I received my prescription. Since I missed the call, I called the office back only to be able to speak to a main switchboard that takes calls for all offices! What nonsense!!! I have never heard of any practice like this in my life and will never go back. I can't imagine what happens when someone has a real eye emergency! These doctors have some life. But patients beware! The doctors may be good -- I honestly don't know whether they are or not, but the practice is HORRIBLE! Find another place to go!

My dad had his cataract surgery done here and had a great experience, so I came in for a LASIK consultation. Dr. Morschauser could've easily taken my money, but she was upfront and told me I didn't need it. She explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel totally comfortable the whole time. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients, not just the business. Really appreciate her honesty and professionalism.
I received a different diagnosis than what I had previously been told by another doctor. I am glad I brought my astigmatism glasses with me, because it became clear that in the past they had been focusing on a different issue. During this visit, cataracts were also mentioned for the first time, although I was told that surgery is not needed (!).
There was some confusion with my prescriptions. Out of the three prescriptions sent to my pharmacy, I only received one. When I returned to the office to ask about the others, I was informed that one of the three needs to be purchased separately, and that some eye drops are shipped from Ohio and that I would receive a call before they are sent. This information was not explained to me during my appointment, even though I was present when the doctor instructed the assistant on what to send to the pharmacy. Unfortunately, I never received a call regarding the drops.
Additionally, the reception staff gave me the impression that they were being ironic, especially when I turned back as I was leaving and saw them laughing while looking at me. This made me feel uncomfortable and was not a professional experience.
I waited over an hour to be taken, I have keratoconus and was told that I needed a second surgery (cross linking) and that I would be called to schedule. Not only did I not get a call, but i went to a specialist and they told me that i did not need the surgery. Doctor Donnenfeld at OCLI saw me for maybe 20 seconds, told me i needed surgery and walked out.
My aunt's appointment was 10:45 am. We were moved from room to room. It is 12:00 pm and we are just in to see the MD. The wait is too long. So now we sit in another room and wait another 15mins are so. Wound not recommended this practice. Will repost went the Doctor come in. Hope they do not ask us to come back. Doctor just came I 15 mi s later..
My experience at the OCLI Garden City office and my visit with Dr. Marc Werner was not good. I found it challenging to schedule an appointment. It was frustrating when I would call and could not reach a live representative. Instead I had to wait for an end of day or next day call back to speak with someone. The office was excessively busy, and check-in was prolonged. Even though there were at least 4 representatives at the counter and several assistants standing nearby. Once checked-in the wait room time was ok, I was called after ~15 minutes. It struck me that the PA did not wear gloves to conduct my eye exam, even as he handled files, door knobs surfaces, etc. I was very specific on the reason for my visit, so when I finally spoke to Dr. Werner, I was surprised that his questions were not in line with addressing my concerns. He was dismissive and obviously did not hear me. The treatment he prescribed was redundant given what I had shared with him and what I had already done. Yet, he reassured me that doing this would be highly effective. It was not! Even though I followed the directions strictly. Our follow up appointment was scheduled for two weeks later and when I tried to reschedule (a week in advance given a work commitment) they couldn't find a time slot for another two weeks -- which meant I would have to live with my discomfort for a month after my initial visit. Needless to say, I went to a different practice, I was set up with a more affective treatment and all before the day that would have been my follow up with Dr. Werner. In my experience, this practice was very impersonal and cold, like a big factory.
I have been receiving care from Dr Wong I with OCLI . For over a year. My experience has been very positive. I get great care from all the staff and Dr Wong as a very pleasant way about him. He's gentle and kind. And so gifted with his hands. I have recommended several people who are thrilled with thier results!
There are moments in life when words feel too small to express the depth of gratitude we carry, this is one of those moments. A few months ago, I walked into your clinic with blurry hopes and uncertain vision. Today, I see the world more clearly, not just through my eyes, but through the experience you gave me.
I believe that sometimes, God sends people into our lives as instruments of healing and for me, that person was you, doctor. Your skill, your care, and your dedication changed my life in a way I will never forget.
Every sunrise, every face, every detail I now see is a reminder of your work. Thank you for giving me back the clarity I thought I had lost.
Thank you for everything you did.
