I had cataract surgery with Dr. Manhard in the Guthrie Cortland Hospital. His staff and everyone in the hospital who cared for me were outstanding. Very professional and proficient. I would highly recommend Dr. MANHARD AND THE Cortland Guthrie for cataract surgery.

Dr. Manhard and all the staff are wonderful. They are friendly, yet professional. I had cataract surgery in both eyes (two weeks apart), and I wish I had done it sooner. I felt no pain, and my distance vision was perfect the day after. I strongly recommend cataract surgery with Dr. Mannhard and staff at Guthrie.

Cataract Surgery doctors is good. But don't trust the stated out of pocket cost. After being reassured serval times what the out of pocket cost would be for each eye and paying up front. The bills keep coming. Every time I pay one, they send another bill for a higher amount. The billing is extremely abusive and scammy. I was told the up front cost was all I would pay for the operation, except for pharmacy. Don't use this office for that reason. Also the Vivity lens are not worth the amount you pay. The other lens would have been covered 100% by insurance. the amount I'm paying for the "better" lens, is not worth it.

Today I will be purchasing the 3rd pair of glasses in just over a year because this place screwed it up twice. I could not read signs during the day with either pair. I was told that Empire should eat the cost and Guthrie could only give a small discount. $1,000 in glasses I can't use. I went to Sayre Guthrie over 20 years and no problems. This place sucks!

While Dr Manhard is very good but wait time is slow, they had my insurance but staff did not tell me the glasses were not covered when I made the appointment. Now I'm out $290 since they are out of network and I can't get reimbursed. I'm 70 and on limited income. A heads up before I got there would have solved the problem. With the current healthcare system, this kind of courtesy is over. I'm very disappointed.
