Dr Manhard and his staff are wonderful. Everyone was so warm, caring and professional. For everyone who has difficulty with anesthesia during cataract surgery, do it without. It was so much nicer and painless. I highly recommend Dr Manhard to anyone seeking professional eye care. I am 74 years old, and have worn glasses for 70 years. My ophthalmologist recommended cataract surgery on both eyes at my last appointment, which is the first time he said I needed to have them done. Dr. Manhard did my left eye 2 weeks ago, and my right eye yesterday. For the first time in my life, I can drive without my glasses! The difference is UNBELIEVABLE! I need glasses to see close-up, but my distance vision is better than ever in my whole life! Dr. Manhard and the team at Guthrie Cortland and Ithaca are tremendous! Both surgeries went perfectly, almost no pain at all. The staff are all very courteous, friendly, and professional, and I enjoyed my time there! I strongly recommend their care!!

I am very happy with my choice of Dr. Manhard to do my cataract surgery. He is an excellent listener and answers all questions patiently, in easy to understand language. My two surgeries went off without problem and I am on my way to the best vision I have ever had. Dr. Manhard's office team and surgical teams at Cortland hospital were great. They were kind, caring, professional and worked hard to make sure that I had a safe, positive outcome. A little shout out to my neighbor who is in charge of environmental services at Cortland Hospital. He takes his job VERY seriously. Hospital acquired infections were low on my things to worry about.

I was referred to Dr. Manhard by my eye doctor. His assistant, BJ, got me to my room and handled all the preliminaries. She was friendly and efficient. When Dr Manhard entered the room, he called me by my first name and extended his hand to shake mine. He was pleasant, positive and caring. Wish he could be my primary care doctor.

Dr Manhard is by far the best surgeon in the business relating to cataract removal and multi focal implants. He and his staff are 2nd. to none. I am very fortunate to have Dr. Manhard and his professional expertise available in our area.
