Ithaca Cayuga Optical Service

I've been getting eye exams for over 40 years, and Dr. Goodenough at Ithaca Cayuga Optical just gave me the best one I've ever had. The difference was remarkable--thorough, thoughtful, and genuinely professional in ways I haven't experienced before. Dr. Goodenough actually takes her time with each part of the exam instead of rushing through it. She explained what she was doing, listened to my feedback, and made sure everything was precise. It didn't feel like an appointment at a factory assembly line. This was genuine medical care from someone who clearly cares about getting it right. My new glasses have the most accurate prescription I've ever had in 4 decades. The improvement in clarity and comfort was noticeable immediately. After years of "good enough" prescriptions, it's refreshing to have one that's actually perfect. I can't recommend Dr. Goodenough highly enough. If you want an eye doctor who's both skilled and takes the time to do things properly, this is your place. Ithaca Cayuga Optical is lucky to have her.

I would like to give 6 stars. Everyone I've interacted with here has been delightful, helpful, and knowledgeable. They even replaced a lost screw in my old pair of glasses while I was getting my new pair adjusted. Sometimes after errands you feel drained, but instead I feel happier after visiting Cayuga Optical!

Best eye exam I've ever had with Dr. Goodenough! She thoroughly answered all my questions and indulged my curiosity about lenses and the retina.

Dr. Samantha Goodenough and the entire staff were so friendly and helpful! My appointment was quick and thorough, and I got my new prescription ordered immediately. I highly recommend this place!

I can't recommend this place highly enough. I have had extraordinary customer service at Ithaca Cayuga Optical for almost 30 years...and incredibly, the team is so consistent that it's been the same people working there for much of that time. Everyone there is kind, generous, and professional. They're about to bring on a new eye doctor since Dr. Wood retired. Meanwhile, they're still a full-service shop for glasses and contacts. I know that, because I recently sat on my glasses.Ithaca Cayuga Optical replaced my frame promptly and got them in under a warranty I didn't even know I had. Great service, great people, and cute frames too!

Amazing people in there , went in with no hopes of getting my glasses fixed and they fixed it with their magic ! Mike is an angel ! Didn't even charge me for the service !

I never write reviews but had to share my experience here. Everyone was more than helpful accommodating me with new glasses as a walk in. The gentleman(didn't catch his name) noticed my glasses were broken and took them into the back room and fixed them up with spare parts he had! An extremely kind gesture that I really appreciate. Cant recommend this place enough!

Walked in with broken glasses (a leg had fallen off). All the staff were so helpful, especially Mike, who took an extra long time in the back room hunting for spare parts to fix them, found a PERFECT match, and didn't even end up charging me. A gem!! Thank you!
