Extremely friendly staff and great customer service. John specifically has always been a pleasure to speak with whenever I have any questions or concerns and gets the job done no problem! This will be my new go-to for glasses in Ithaca.

I had a horrible experience here. They rushed me through the process and ended up giving me a prescription I couldn't use. They did offer to refit them but at that point I had had enough, after waiting 3 months just to get in and another month for them to order the right pair since they were not in stock. I also felt that the staff and doctor made me feel uncomfortable, talking down to me, rushing me and ignoring my questions. They also pressured me many many times to buy contacts from them and not online. They made me pay full price upfront and than disclosed later that I did not have to do that which was upsetting because that would mean I did not have to pay for a fitting when the contacts did not work for my vision. In other words I put down a deposit without knowing I was putting down a deposit. They charged significantly more than the other place I tried out which is Trumansburg Optical - it's wonderful I highly recommend going there instead. Most egregious, they told me I had not paid for the fitting when I had. When I refuted this claim they insisted I hadn't. After I refused again, they finally checked only to see I had in fact paid for it. I felt they were either discriminating against me or were trying to trick me into paying even more money. Their equipment is low tech, their facility is ugly, they are mean, rushed, rude and I would never go there again. I want to be clear, I have never felt the need to write a negative review on google. I hated this place. Don't go.

I stopped by to find out what it would cost to get transition lenses, never expecting to walk out with a pair ordered. Absolutely exceeded all expectations. I love the glasses, the price was great compared to the first place I went, and he took care of insurance reimbursement. Loved this guy. Highly recommend.

My glasses broke while I was downtown on the commons. I walked into the store, was immediately greeted, and had my glasses expertly repaired. I asked the man working there if I could pay him for his labor, and he insisted that it was just a favor. 5/5 stars for humanity and kindness! I asked about pricing on athletics glasses and was astounded at how affordable they are (around $300 total, which is less than my regular glasses.) will return to spend money, glad this place exists on our commons!

My insurance eligibility for 2022 was running out and I was unable to get an appointment at the place I usually went to. Dropped by to make an appointment and, although their appointment schedule was very tight because of others in a similar insurance situation, John fit me in within the next week. The Doctor was thorough and gave understandable explanations of possible future eye issues and solutions. The selection of frames was quite extensive and my glasses were ready in just over a week. The glasses are great. John installed cable temple pieces and adjusted the fit to make sure they were good. I was very pleased and will return.

Great costumer service, they main guy that works there (John) is such a great guy very helpful. I never had any bad experiences, I've been going for the past 19 years. I will always highly recommend this eye glass store if you want great customer service you can rely on!!

Should renew your hours. Saturday Sunday closed.

Received uncomfortable contact lenses that caused headaches. A replacement batch was also low quality. Had to purchase replacement lenses from a different provider which did not have the same issues. Unpleasant customer service.
