Worst experience I ever had at an eye doctor.
They were not upfront about costs, had me do different eye screenings with various machines then tell me they couldn't go over the results because it wasn't a medical eye exam, and were running an hour behind schedule without the decency to call and warn the patients before they came to wait in the office. I understand that things happen and doctors run late, but usually they communicate if they are more than 20 minutes behind schedule.
I am confident Dr. Groo is medically competent, but I left the appointment with unanswered questions about my eye health and less care was included in the eye exam than I have ever experienced at any other practice. I will not be returning.

I was recently traveling when I had a concern about my eye. Dr. Groo and her staff at Hudson Valley Eye Doctor were so incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to assist me. I was relieved to get such great support over the phone. They were responsive, professional, and genuinely caring for how I was feeling. (There aren't enough doctors like that around anymore!)
Their expertise was apparent and their dedication to help me and their patient care was evident. I am a regular patient at Hudson Valley Eye Doctor and highly recommend them for any medically related eye check-ups as well as any optometry needs. (They have beautiful frames too!) Thank you Dr. Groo for the exceptional service and helping be during my vacation!

I really like Dr. Groo she was the most helpful eye doctor I've ever had. Unfortunately the women who work in the front of the office to help you pick out your glasses were not very friendly and typed out my prescription WRONG. Literally gave me the wrong prescription and I almost had the completely wrong glasses made. When the error was caught I was talked down to and it was brushed over. It would've been nice if someone acknowledged how terrible this is and handled it better.

The Staff is awesome. They make you feel like you're visiting family. Everyone is super friendly, very informative. Hours are very accommodating. Cheryl helped me find the perfect frames that complimented me. The prices were really reasonable. The young lady who helped me with the eye test Was very informative and she made it fun and was very knowledgeable.Dr. Groo did a very thorough exam she goes above and beyond she makes me feel comfortable , explains everything so you can truly understand. I truly would recommend this place because it truly is a great place. Thank you Hudson Valley Eye Doctor.. for the awesome experience.

My kids and I see Dr. Groo and we just love her. She's thorough, so knowledgeable and very personal. I always feel informed after our visits. She's great with kids and has seen mine since they were 18 months old. Anne and Cheryl are fantastic as well! We love visiting them for our glasses. Would highly recommend Hudson Valley Eye!

Charged $5 to replace a pad on a good customers glasses.
Not the money that bothers me..very poor customer service. Have spent more than $1000 in the past 3 years there.
That's not including what my insurance had paid. And what my husband and son have spent there. Terrible customer service , will not go back or recommend
