The team here are wonderful with kids! I brought my one year old here thinking it will be a tough first visit but they made it easy. He followed their directions so well and didn't complain at all. He loved everyone, especially Jenny - followed her around like a duckling. Kudos to the team here!
Exceptional Care at Long Island Pediatric Ophthalmology!
I cannot recommend Long Island Pediatric Ophthalmology enough! Every single person there is absolutely phenomenal, providing truly exceptional customer service.
Lisa deserves a special shout-out. She worked with my 9 year old daughter for her contact lens fitting, and thanks to Lisa's incredible guidance, my daughter was putting her contacts in and taking them out on her own within a matter of minutes in just four days - completely unassisted by me! That's a testament to Lisa's skill, patience, and encouragement!!!!
Dr. Marcus, Dr. Sorkin, and Dr. Del Rosario are all amazing, offering top-notch care. Beyond the medical expertise, the front desk staff are incredibly accommodating, respectful, and kind, making every visit a pleasant experience.
This is definitely an office and practice you should choose for your child's eye care needs. You won't be disappointed!
Always a pleasant experience. My son gets anxious and the doctors and nurses are always calming. Answer all questions. Very pleasant bed side manner. They do get packed but there's always space to sit. They have a big fish tank that keeps the kids interested.
I brought my daughter here for a second opinion. Excellent experience. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and highly knowledgeable. From Maria, the front desk supervisor, to Dr. Levi, everyone provided exceptional care. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends!
From beginning to end, our experience at this office was wonderful. The front desk was so sweet, Lisa took us back and was incredible with my son. She used awesome techniques to engage my son while he was being tested. The doctor was quick and to the point and gave me several options for our situation. The waiting room is great for kids with a huge fish tank to keep them busy. All in all , I was so pleased with the care and attention that we received at this practice. Special thanks to Lisa!!!!!
I had a terrible experience at this establishment. I was referred by my pediatrician for my 3 year old son. I made an appointment a month in advance and planned our family's entire schedule (including work) around this appointment. When I arrived there were 10 young children in the waiting room. At check-in, I was dismissively told that I did not have an appointment. I explained how far in advance I had made the appointment and that this was clearly their error so my toddler should not have to suffer. They had all of his information in the system which proves that the staff failed to confirm the appointment offered to and accepted by me. The receptionist was not at all apologetic and only offered to ask the doctor if he would see my son after I let her know I would not be turned away with rescheduling as my only recourse. She must have said to me 10 times that it was a 2 hour appointment as if I was hard of hearing and I kept repeating myself this was why I planned for this appointment accordingly. The doctor agreed to see him via the receptionist but confirmed it would be a very long wait given the double booking - this was the best they could offer a 3 year old child. I would absolutely avoid this place when considering eye doctors for your child and I hate to say it but given the treatment I received - especially if you are a person of color.
Not understanding all the bad reviews, I brought my 14 month old back in January and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. My son isn't the easiest when it comes to doctors and they were extremely patient when they were doing the eye exam. The girls at the front desk were so nice and friendly ! I highly recommend. We are going back for our follow up very soon!
I have to echo the many reviews here regarding wait times. We had one experience here a while back and we were left waiting for an hour. Unacceptable *ESPECIALLY* in light of the fact that children are your patients. Try reasoning with a toddler about why the doctor's office makes you wait for what is, to them, an eternity. So many medical offices are now able to honor appointment times...it's not like it was 15 years ago when you would go to a doctor's office and expect to wait. Many offices, regardless of specialty, consistently see patients within 10 minutes of the appointment.
