Town & Country Optical

I am from out of town and needed a minor repair on my eyeglasses. After a brief phone, call asking if I could be seen I went to the practice. The staff in the practice was very pleasant. J Hopper took me immediately and solved my problem. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and accommodating experience.

I have nothing but excellent service. Been there four times in the last six months, three times to get a Prism decal for doublevision. They were so easy to deal with that I also had my eyeglass lenses filled there as well. I recommend them to everybody I encounter. Everybody there is so nice, welcoming and patient.

This was my first visit to Town & Country Optical an I am not to sure if I will go back. See I am new to the area so it is difficult to choose new doctors I'm general already. Now my actual eye exam with Dr. Stack was very pleasant and he was friendly and I feel like he provided a thorough eye exam, but I can not say that the receptionist (I believe her name is Sue) was very pleasant at all. When I first get there and I start the check in process and asked me for my insurance card and I proceed to let her know that my vision insurance does not issue insurance cards, I suppose she didn't like that very much since she snapped back at me like what do you mean they don't give you an insurance card. Then after I have my exam with Dr. Stack and he brings me back out to the reception area, the receptionist is on the phone (totally understandable) he lets her know what I needed and such. When she finishes up her phone call I give her my copay and ask her about checking out new eye glasses, and she snaps back at me again saying he (the doctor) said you didn't need glasses to look at glasses. At that point I think she could tell I was feeling a little off out from her, and she gets Jason to assist me with looking at glasses. At that point even though I did look at some glasses and did find a pair that I liked, the receptionist made me feel so unwelcome that I did not feel comfortable purchasing a new pair of glasses through them. So basically the two star waiting was not for the vision providers at all, they were fantastic! But the receptionist is the complete reason for the two start rating.

I did not even make it into the office with my children, as I had forgotten to reschedule the receptionist (Sue) had called and was extremely rude and disrespectful, I can only imagine how she would have reacted had I brought my special needs children in. From other comments it seems as though she should just be fired cause the actual doctor sounds pleasant. Such a shame losing business and missing out on a good doctor due to a rude receptionist.

The optometrist is great. He is very nice, helpful and respectful. The receptionist however is very rude and aggressive. I wont be taking my children their again nor go there myself.
