I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The front desk staff are extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. The worst experience I've ever had at any doctors office.
My appointment was rescheduled to 7am because the doctor wasn't going to be in at the time I was initially scheduled. I arrived at 7:15, and nobody was there. I rang the doorbell multiple times and called but no answer. Finally, I was let in at 7:30. They had me keep waiting until 7:45 when the secretary finally arrived.
I respectfully pointed out this mistake, saying it's unacceptable for them to give me a 7:00 am appointment just to be checked in at 7:45. In that moment the staff got extremely upset and refused to take accountability for this obvious mistake. They blamed it on me, saying I had no right to complain because I came late (even though if I had come on time, they were just going to keep me waiting because they were even later than me!!!). They said I had no right to complain. The lady who opened the door for me said that she could've left me waiting outside but she let me in, as if that makes the scheduling mistake okay. And also pointing out that the doctor was making an exception to see me at that time, when it was their office who gave me the 7:00 am appointment.
I have anxiety and this was a very upsetting and uncomfortable encounter for me. Needless to say I won't be returning. It's really a shame, because Dr.Ige is an amazing and kind doctor, but the staff just give this place a bad look.
If you hate your job, it's not the patient's problem.
This used to be an amazing office to go to but not sure what's been happening...had an 8 am appointment, no one was even in the office at that time. Secretary finally showed up 10 mins after 8. No doctor arrived till after 8:40....why have an 8am appointment as an option if even the staff + doctor won't be onsite till after 8:40....?
The front desk staff at this location is by far the worst I've encountered at any doctor's office. Every time I call to make or reschedule an appointment, I'm put on hold for 20 to 30 minutes, sometimes longer. And when someone finally does pick up, they are consistently rude and unprofessional.
I've been going to this doctor for five years, but I've finally had enough. The experience has become so frustrating that I've decided to stop going entirely. On top of that, two of my family members who also went here have now left because of the same issue.
Doctors, please take a serious look at your front desk staff. Their behavior and lack of courtesy are driving patients away. If this continues, you'll lose even more loyal patients like us.
I don't know what's going on with this office, it's insanely hard to get an appointment or reschedule. I made an appointment in March 2025 and they gave me one for June. I've been waiting for 3 months to see the doctor, and now they want to reschedule my appointment for September. Meaning a need to wait half a year for one appointment. This is ridiculous. And also, they charge $50.00 dollars per prescriptions. This is unbelievable. They were not like this before. Somebody needs to check this office and get it right because this is just unacceptable. I'm now changing doctors I am not going back here again. I also feel bad for the doctors because they are good but the system is just horrible.
I have a call now and secretary said they don't have location in forest hills. I feel she had mood issues. Can't forgive health workers for being mean. It is not possible for this profession. Especially when you need a doctor. That's so sad. I hope she will read and improve herself with emotional intelligence . Peace out
Staff are great but now be preapared to pay extra fees ( in addition to copayment)! This is something that has been added this year. I have been a patient for the last 2 years and never had to pay extra "fees" until now!
I saw Doctor Dastgir for first time and he was a great professional also his staff in the back..However, there is a lady at front desk that is extremely rude.. First, I made an appointment in August for September.. then she called me saying that because that day was a holiday, she needed to reschedule my appointment, giving me the appointment for November, after they made the mistake they even didn't considered to five me a closer day. Once at the office, I saw two ladies, at the front desk.. one of them, was the Spanish blonde lady, she was very rude with me and other patients.. . when it was time to leave, she gave me a new appointment but she never gave me my prescription.. I had to come back for it...I would love to give them five stars to the doctor and the technicians , which they were super professionals and diligent with the patients but sorry, the lady at front desk doesn't match in that office.
People complain about the phone wait. That is because they are wildly popular. I have had experience with all three doctors and they are all terrific. Mine just moved across the country so I will be seeing one their other doctors/
