Roberts EyeCare Associates - Vestal

I am giving you a 5 star rating for one of your employees. I have never had any of the girls in the front who took my money at check out look into my insurance like this woman did. She helped me understand what was covered and explained things perfectly. She took the time. Not only with a smile but knowledge !!!! Her name was Kari. I was so happy when I left. I thought this would be my last appt there. I was going to Visionworks for sure. I'm staying after today's visit. Loved the doctor I had too!! Kari is a keeper!!! Ty for the great experience

I left work early for an eye appointment that I had confirmed by email, only to be told upon arrival--after I had already left work--that I did not have an appointment scheduled and that the doctor could not see me. I was then informed that I was expected to know to ask the call center to specifically connect me directly to the Vestal Roberts Eye Care facility. This was never explained to me during the scheduling process. Expecting patients to know this without being told is unreasonable. The entire situation was extremely inconvenient and poorly handled.

After a terrible trip to americas best today, I walked in with my prescription and my daughter's, everyone was helpful even though the place was packed. Picked out frames and lenses for us both and were out in less than an hour. Will definitely be back!

Called to schedule in the early spring for myself and my daughter. I wound up canceling my own appointment, and being seen elsewhere much sooner. I waited over 6 months for my daughters appointment. We show up for her appointment and are told they had texted(???) me two days prior to reschedule. I never recieved the text. What kind of office doesn't CALL you to reschedule if they do not get a response.

For one,I never complain about anything but I'm taking time out of my busy day to write this review because I'm am beside myself.I've been a patient at Robert eye care for about 10 yrs. I needed another eye exam so I scheduled an appointment, mind you,I made my appointment in the summer and my appointment isn't till April of next year.So ok, 8 months until my appointment, whatever,it is what it is.Problem is, my glasses just broke so I brought them in thinking I could just get a new pair of glasses to hold me over til April's appointment.The receptionist was going to let me pick out a pair of Frames and then another receptionist came over and said ,"oh no you can't do that, it's illegal ,We can't do that "in a very snarky manner, making me look like a fool at the counter like I was supposed to Know that. It's an expired prescription she tells me and I can't get a pair of glasses even though I can see perfectly With that prescription, but I can't see without My glasses. So I need to find an Eye Care place that cares about their patients so I don't have to go the next five months without seeing. Who knew, an expired prescription Can't get you new glasses when yours break , Mine knew it's only two months expired. I hate this place.

I love the variety and the speed of getting the glasses. BUT when you get your glasses make sure all the screws are there. I got my new glasses today and ,just like last time, the right screw that is supposed to hold the lense in place was missing and the left one was only 1/2 way in. I expect a bit more care and attention when giving people new glasses.

I had a very disappointing experience with one of the brunette female staff members in the front. It is unacceptable for an employee to make loud, snarky remarks about a customer within earshot. Such behavior is unprofessional and creates an uncomfortable environment. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will not be returning to Roberts Eye Care if this reflects how staff are expected to interact with patients. Professionalism and respect should be a basic standard in any healthcare setting.

I have been going to Visionworks since I moved to Norwich in 2019 and I was unhappy with the way they operate so I came back to Roberts eye care with the more intimate and personal care in mind...boy oh boy things have certainly changed in the last 6 years. What was once a very caring and personal experience has turned into a conveyor belt process with all kinds of additional expenses that are inclusive at visionworks. If I wanted a contact lens prescription, extra cost, dilation photos instead of drops, extra cost, needless to say I will not be returning again. I can't believe I drove so far out of my way for this. What was once a pleasure has been reduced to a "fast food" type of impersonal experience. The staff was however very personable. Most of them anyway.
