New York Cataract & Laser Eye

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Bridgette Roman. From the moment she entered the room, her attitude was dismissive and unnecessarily aggressive. There was no greeting, no professionalism, and no effort to make me feel like a patient receiving medical care. Instead, she spoke to me in a rude and defensive tone, showing irritation rather than concern. I explained to her that my appointment was specifically scheduled for an eye dilation, which had already been confirmed by the office beforehand. Rather than calmly verifying the information, she immediately denied the service and responded as if I was the one who was mistaken. When I tried to clarify the situation, her behavior became even more confusing and hostile. She seemed unsure about the details of the appointment, yet she reacted with anger instead of simply checking my chart or asking someone for confirmation. Her tone, body language, and responses felt confrontational. I left the appointment feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and honestly shocked that a doctor would treat a patient that way. Medical professionals are expected to listen, guide, and remain composed, even during misunderstandings--but this interaction felt chaotic, confusing, and emotionally aggressive. Because of this, I made the decision to cancel the appointment on the spot and immediately request to change doctor. I would not recommend Bridgette Roman to anyone looking for professional, organized, and compassionate care. A doctor should make you feel safe and heard, not confused and disrespected. Hopefully this feedback helps others make informed decisions before scheduling with her, and I truly hope she receives proper training on how to speak to patients with professionalism and empathy.

I have been a patient of Dr. Liu for many years. He and the entire team are exceptional and I would never trust my eyes to anyone else. As I have gotten older my eyes have changed and Dr. Liu has always presented the facts and the options with a kind heart and a professional perspective. The staff are wonderful and always quick to smile and put you at ease. I highly recommend this practice for you and your family.

Excellent highly professional staff, assistants and doctor. I don't write reviews but as a Yonkers neighbor, I feel the duty to recommend this practice. I called yesterday for a walking emergency appointment ( popped blood vessel). The front desk staff was not only friendly and polite but I had to call because I was late due to the rain and they were understanding and allowed me to still come in an hour later. The practice has a parking lot! the building is beautiful, super clean and with top-notch technology. Remind you, I was in only for an emergency appointment, however Dr. Liu himself. Dr. Liu introduced himself and shake my hand, I might be old school, but that showed me the respect this doctor has towards his patients. He explained step by step what he was doing on and in my eyes, what he was using and why he was doing. He did a very comprehensive eye exam. He explained what he found in a very clear way. I am very happy with the whole experience and mainly because I found my new and local! eye doctor.

I first visited the office earlier this year for my annual eye exam and was first impressed by the modern and clean look inside the office itself. The front desk staff and assistants were extremely friendly and helpful in setting up my appointment and seeing to my needs as soon as I walked in. Dr. Guglielmo did my check-up and I had nothing, but a positive experience in every sense. Dr. G was warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She made the exam process very efficient and answered any questions that I may have had. I've been seeing different eye doctors over the years, but I now know that Dr. G will be my eye doctor for hopefully quite some time.

Very good experience, quick service, clean/nice office, friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Liu knows his job well, very detailed and honest, explaining what he does in all the steps in the exam and what he can't do with my eye. He also educated me how vein in one's eyes relate to overall human health. Lastly, he explain the pros and cons of some eye drops which my past eye doctors have never told me before. I'll recommend this practice.

I want to say a special thank you to office manager Evelyn at New York Cataract and Laser Eye Care for her help with getting me in to see Dr Lui today. Evelyn went above and beyond to follow up on my referral from my primary doctor's office. What I thought would be an upsetting experience turned out to be very pleasant. Evelyn is a true gem, an excellent person to represent New York Cataract And Laser Eye Care.

This was my first experience with New York Cataract and Laser Eye Center. I must say Dr. G is the best. She took her time and explained everything to me in a way I could understand!!!! I'm a nurse and very hard to impress and Dr G went far beyond my expectations!!! I would highly recommend her and her staff to anyone that needed a comprehensive eye exam. All the way.

My experience here was excellent. I have been here twice and got the same great service. Both times. They were very informative and answered all my question. The MD Liu went above and beyond to explain everything to me. Every one is so professional and nice. I was nervous about coming out because of covid-19 but they did everything necessary to ensure patient safety. I highly recommend this place.
