I'd generously give 2.5 stars but I can't. 99$ exam!!!? More like 300$ +. And trying to get fitted for contacts is an act of congress. Have to see a doctor when the doctor told me herself the tech could teach me how to put them in. So now waiting a month for new eyewear?! Never again will I be going there. Doctor is super nice though. And they REFUSE to give me my contact prescriptions. They're legally
Mine !!!!! Update. They did reach out to me via e mail. Which I have replied to and replied a second time asking for my prescriptions only to get a text saying my eyewear is ready for pick up. I think they mean the sample contacts as I did not get taught how to use them, because it was a month or more for that appointment. Never got a reply or follow up to why I cannot have my prescription. When we tried to make an appointment and I asked for it I was told no as the doctor ordered samples. Which I understand to a degree. As they invested time to do that. I am waiting for a reply regarding prescriptions and what eye wear is ready ?
Dr. Patel, at the Clayton MyEyeDr. location, went above and beyond by getting me seen within an hour of calling. Thanks to her thorough evaluation, medical treatment was able to begin immediately. I am incredibly thankful for the time Dr. Patel took to clearly explain preseptal cellulitis and discuss the best treatment options.
Dr. Patel truly cares about her patients and their eye health. All provider facilities should model their offices after this one. From the front desk to the office staff to the doctor herself--everyone is friendly, professional, and fabulous!
I've been a long time patient, but the service has changed. I just spent $600 out of pocket for two pairs of glasses, and they refused to include a basic bottle of cleaning spray, something they've always provided in the past. It's disappointing to be nickel and dimed for $3 after spending that much money. The glasses are fine, but the customer service felt cheap.
I'm nervous about trying again to make an appointment.
I live in Clayton but work in Raleigh.
I had an appointment 4/11 but with traffic and leaving work late, I was running late, I called to let them know. But alas I was over the 15 min threshold and they said they couldn't fit me in.
Meanwhile no one was in the waiting room and there was a group of people talking and laughing in sight.
I need an appointment and this is where my family is going and it seems okay for everyone else... ughhh
What has happened to this place the past year? For years, you would get your exam, pick out your glasses n lens, come pick them up and all would be perfect. Not anymore. Now, you pick up your glasses and it's like zero prescription was put into the lens. Then, like clock work, they tell you to see a man they hired just for all the optical problems and there are many! Three times I went back, three times still not right. Time to move out and move on. Another case of fixing something that wasn't broken. Terrible...... This is an update. MyEyeDr did reach out to me and did refund me. Their customer service has been great. I still cannot change my review because it is the truth.
I should have stayed with my old eye doctor. I opened my dumb mouth and mentioned getting daily's. The doctor rushed out 5 minutes after I left the room and now i'm stuck with a daily RX. Have to wait for them to call me back and change it. Never had a problem ever before switching to this place. Never should have came to this place. Noting but a headache.
First, was not told ahead of time that there was no doctor doing the exam. It was a zoom video "doctor " which is awkward and doesn't feel like I'm getting a thorough exam.
Second, the video doctor convinced me to try multi focus contacts which of course are expensive. But, she assured me I had a trial period to see if I like them. But that wasn't true. I had to purchase my yearly supply right after the exam. Which I did and then after wearing them discovered I did not like them, at all. Was told I could return them. Then after I returned them and ordered another set, once the new ones came in was told they couldn't refund me the price difference (of $175) because the box was open . Do not use this eye dr! You will lose money.
Today I had an eye appointment. Or so I thought. I walked in and told the receptionist that I had an appointment with Dr. Madision. She told me that I didn't. She said I had canceled an appointment April 3. I told her that they had called me and canceled the appointment because my appointment was too early for my insurance to cover it. The person who called me helped me make another appointment. The receptionist then stated " oh well appointments can disappear". She then proceded to tell me I could make an appointment with Dr. Madison for May 30. I said, " I don't know, is this appointment going to disappear as well?" She said nothing just stared at her computer. Since I was being ignored, I walked out. She then said, "Have a nice day." Really........ Insult to injury statement.
The receptionist has no customer service skills what so ever. She could have state, "I am so sorry. Are you willing to see another doctor today?" Instead nothing just..."Our apppointments disappear and silence looking at her computer screen.
I really like Dr. Madison, but I will go somewhere else for better customer service.
