The staff and Dr Schaller are very customer orientated. They they are very friendly very attentive and spend a lot of time with the patients. They have many decades of service and provide excellent Medical care. I even called one during covid and they helped me over the phone provide my own treatment. I think I had an eye infection and they told me exactly how to take care of it without having to come into the office, during covid... Unlike other local optometrists that seem to be more of a chain and seem to be too busy to provide personalized service

5 stars ! Dr. Charles Shaller and his team are fantastic! I had such a smooth and easy experience from start to finish. Elizabeth was especially kind and helpful--she went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of quickly and efficiently. The whole process was fast, professional, and stress-free. I'm so grateful to have found such a caring and competent eye care team in Franklin, NC. Highly recommend!

I called the office today and asked the receptionist if Dr. Shaller was accepting new patients. She said "yes we are". I asked her if I could schedule an appointment and she said yes. She proceeded to schedule an appoint for me and then asked what insurance I had . I responded telling her I have Medicaid. Well that's when her voice changed and she said "well if you don't show up then we drop you"....Like, ok?! I'm going to show up, otherwise I wouldn't be making appointment.Then she said "well we need a referral anyways, so get them to fax us one and we will call you then. May take up to a week for us to call you back". Her voice changed and the way she was speaking to me changed!! Seems so crazy that she was willing to schedule appointment thinking I had different insurance... but once I said Medicaid her voice changed and she kept repeating herself. I just said thank you and hung up. I will not go here. I am no different then the person paying with private insurance or cash. Nobody should feel any less because of the insurance they are using !!!

Joliene is awsome. I love the sunglasses:) I would recommend if you need any glasses or sunglasses come to this place they are the best They are even with insurance better priced than lens crafters. I ended up buying my bluelight protection glasssess formthis place and price was better than lenscrafters. I would recommend coming here

Very happy with Dr Shaller and his staff. My wife sometimes needs to get in quick to get a procedure done and Dr Shaller has always been accommodating. A true professional with a friendly disposition..We love him!

I was looking for a new eye doctor and had nothing but a great experience. They scheduled me as quickly as they could, I didn't have a long wait in the waiting room, and Dr. Shaller showed up on time, performed the exam, and I was on my way. Local folks, local service. Thank you!

I wish I could give them a 100 star review! They went over and beyond to help me get my glasses at an unbelievable price. I will forever recommend this place to anyone who ever needs to purchase glasses or needs to see an optometrist!

I had scheduled a YAG surgery "redo" with Shaller's office due to a continued big floater in my left eye that frequently impaired my vision (after having cataract surgery and a prior 'failed' YAG surgery 2 yrs prior with another eye doc). Shaller's office staff did work me in quickly, despite Dec being a limited appt holiday month, so I could be seen by the end of 2017, as I had met my deductible and out of pocket max for the year..... But even though I had no copay, nor needed a refraction done....I was charged up front for both...and told I could "work out getting reimbursed if insurance ends up paying all fees." I was overcharged a $40 co-pay and a $50 non-refundable refractory fee (kinda high as most charge $30-$35) that the office staff stated "was required for insurance to pay for the YAG surgery". But-- upon being taken back for the procedure, I was taken right into the YAG machine room, had dilation drops put in, waited the required time for dilation, then the doc came for the procedure and I was done and out. Bottom line--NO REFRACTORY EXAM WAS PROVIDED-- though I paid for it! Doc's staff didnt inform the front office that it wasnt provided and there didnt seem to be a lot of communication between office staff, doc staff and the doc! Honestly--a refraction exam wasnt needed anyway-- as I needed YAG surgery to fix a continued floater that was effecting vision that no pair of glasses could/would fix! But the cookie-cutter office pads that exam into each appt and charges accordingly. BIG WASTE when then you are paying for a service not rendered! Anyway...staff reportedly documented in my patient chart that I had a refraction exam---though I NEVER HAD ONE THAT DAY, further complicating efforts to get reimbursed!!! SO BEWARE--you pay up front when you dont have a copay requirement and have to wait/work at getting that reimbursed after you get get an EOB AND then they charge you up front for the refraction exam that ISNT ALWAYS DONE and cookie-cutter note in all charts that it is!! If you see this doc-- get a receipt for all your charges at the time you pay, then make sure you get all the services you are being billed for! But--there really are better, more straight forward options out there that document accurately, provide services you are charged for, and are less costly!!
