Community Eye Care

My daughter needed an eye exam due to having problems reading in school, this was the only place that could get her in asap. I should have read the reviews first! This place is horrible. From the front of the office to the back of the office!! The doctor himself was very rude. I had to let him know about himself, he was upset because my toddler was watching tv on his phone, after I receive my child's glasses they never have to worry about my service again.

I went here because my clinic was booked up and it was a very bad experience. I got a bad reading of my eye prescription I can't even see clearly with the new prescription the "doctor" prescribed me. Do not waste your time and money. Very sketchy please bad experience. Now I got a 400dlls eye glasses I can't even use

I went here and never got my glasses.It took months for Medicaid and it was not Medicaid it was them being very slow The doctor was nice that's it and it had spider webs in the window

First impressions mean everything especially when it comes to choosing a medical service that you will continue to need. After my first appointment with Community Eye Care I decided this facility was not the care I was looking for. First impression was they were really expensive. I have been getting contacts for almost 20 years and I never been charged a separate examination fee for those with astigmatism (usually it's just one set fee for anyone needing contacts and it was almost $200 but who knows it maybe a new thing. Second, the doctor was not friendly. I got the sense that my appointments would not feel accomplished & he was not listening to my concerns or past history. I should have looked at the reviews before taking the first appointment. Overall, I can handle the higher cost of things or not good customer service from the front office but what turned me away was the impression from the doctor. They always say the front desk personnel are the face of the company. In my opinion, the face of the company is the quality care you will receive from the doctor and if that is not good then how can one expect to continue to see them.

I am never going back to community eye care anymore because I did not like how Dr. Herring acted. I also did not like how he acted towards my sister. I am glad I had to cancel my appointment that was originally scheduled in April. My family and I will leave Dr. Herring's office and we are not going back there because he was so snappy and disrespectful. If I had my appointment there and he tried to snap at me like that, I would have gotten so mad at him about it. We will go to a new optometrists' office and never return to Community Eye Care because we cannot let him become disrespectful to us.

Just had the fastest and worst eye appointment in my 25 years of wearing glasses. The doctor was apparently upset I brought my kids and was pretty rude about it. He asked if we could do the eye exam with the kids present. Before we even started? I said yes unless it's a problem for you and he said if I had to tend to them it would be a problem. My kids were fairly quiet and when my 9 month old cried I soothed her. The ladies at the front were so very nice and assured me my kids were fine. I wish I had gotten either of their names but both were very kind! Reading all of the other reviews now and they say the dr is just generally rude I wish I had read these before I went lol

NEVER AGAIN!! If you thinking of going to this business don't bother give it a try and here's why. The new staff that helped me with the lenses was not clear on the lenses price and her lack of customer service mind is so terrible. I didn't like when they wanted me to pick out frame and lenses while my eye were dilated because I couldn't see anything. There were no price tag on any of those frames. This is the only business that wanted to charge $20 dollars when asked to just check the prescription on your old lenses. (Go across the street to Atlantic Eye Center they did it for free). Be aware! They don't gave you back your old lenses either. I never seen this in my life. When I asked for my old lenses they said they have discarded them already because I didn't inform them to save it. Like WTH! Every other place gave back your old lenses when you pick up your new prescription lenses. I gave this business a try although I'd seen it only had 3 stars and now I think it deserved -1 star. I rarely give any place 1 star but this place have disappointed me with so many things.

I never had any issues until today. Everyone was always kind and respectful but idk what happened today. The doctor was rude out of no where! Idk if he was having a bad day or what but I was so shocked. Gonna pick up the glasses and never go back. Especially looking at these other reviews it tells me this doctor doesn't respect his patients.
