Make sure to verify all information with someone actually IN the brick-and-mortar store before you make any plans involving this place.
My wife, who is autistic, had been looking for a new eye center for a bit, after her old one suddenly closed on her and left her with no recourse, which went over about as well as you would expect. When she called this place, she was THRILLED that the man on the phone told her that they take her insurance, and it would 100% cover an eye exam and one pair of glasses.
Cut to today, we arrive for her appointment and the lady who received her told her that sorry, no, they DON'T accept her insurance, but they can help her with a deal to get her the same service and pair of glasses for $45. That is REDICULOUS. It's not a "deal" to offer someone something to get them in the door, and then once they're there, drop the previous offer and replace it with an identical one for a steeply more expensive price. That's actually textbook (literally, the example given in my business law class was almost this verbatim) bait and switch, which is deceptive business practices and is actually ILLEGAL, as per guidelines of the FTC. And, judging by some of the other reviews I've just read about this place, this is NOT an isolated incident.
So steer pretty wide of this place, unless you are making your appointments in person, because apparently the international call center they funnel their customers to are grossly under-educated about US laws and regulations.
And to the people who own this establishment: get your shop in order. Whether it be through malicious intent or ignorance of the call center's activities, this puts you in a legally actionable position. With the call center being a subcontractor of the business, you are liable for their actions, and cannot claim that "the left hand didn't know what the right one was doing", because you're not the left hand in this example. You're the brain. You're the ones in charge, and the ones liable for their actions, and as the brain, I strongly suggest you use yours and hold your call center accountable, up to and including cutting them loose, before someone more litigious than I cleans you out for it.
I had such a great experience at my eye appointment today! Marilyn and Diamond were incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about helping me figure out what was going on with my vision. They took their time, answered all my questions, and worked hard to find the best solutions for me and helped me save money in the process! Customer service like that is rare these days. I love this place and my two favorite people are Diamond and Evelyn because they always give good energy and service with any issues that may arise. My glasses are awesome and I can see very well and that's all you can ask for at a place that sells glasses but you get the extra customer service. That's great and make you feel like a reserve customer so I appreciate it. Thank you guys for that service, I'm dead serious
When I scheduled my appointment the gentleman asked if I had insurance I gave him the information he told me on the phone they except my insurance I took the day off of work both my son and myself had an appointment when I arrived the lady at the front told me they don't except my insurance and I needed to pay out of pocket. She also discussed that the lady on the phone said something different while I was on the phone. I never spoke to a lady it was a gentleman and I never would have made this appointment if they did not except my insurance. I have had numerous calls regarding why my appointment was not completed. After the third call I told them . Since than they haven't stopped calling me. I am beyond annoyed and definitely a waste of gas and my time
I wish I could give more than 5 stars to this store! Everyone was so helpful, friendly, and genuinely cared about helping me pick glasses that were perfect for me! The atmosphere was fun and fantastic!! They had so many frames to pick from too!
My new eye Dr!!! Alisha, Jennifer, and Diamond are the best! So friendly and took their time to explain everything every step of the way! From what services they offer to helping me pick out glasses to what my insurance covered... so patient and so helpful! Thank you all!
The staff here are incredible. They're very easy to talk to, and very informative when it comes to your eye health. I feel like we're old friends every time I walk through those doors. I'm already looking forward to going back! Thanks for all your help!
Lies about cost, lies about bogo, lies about when you will get your glasses! We have been waiting a month for glasses they claim you can get same day. 1st they said they would take a wk, then oh tomorrow, then tomorrow, then tomorrow, then another wk, then they are the wrong size, dont have the frames anymore, another wk. Just the most unprofessional eye center we have ever dealt with! Passed unsatisifed to plain out agry with this place. Go anywhere but here!
