America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I had a pleasant experience with receptionist, Shequeta. She was patient, nice and helpful. She scheduled my appointment and helped me navigate through my own schedule to find the best day and time. I appreciate her!

Dr Lam was very professional and very thorough. He took the time to explain the problem I am having to me. He is very kind. William helped me with ordering a my glasses. He also was very kind and professional. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside to my experience was the long wait and uncomfortable seating. I have herniated discs.

The staff were very friendly, no complaints there. However the wait time is ridiculous. I am currently still waiting at 2:36. I had an appointment scheduled for 12:20. I came in with everything filled out online, I was sent immediately back. I get to the back where I have to wait in line behind 9 people, which took around a hr and a half, I was seen for a pre test during this time. Employees are one by one going on lunch breaks, leaving one person in the lobby (instead of taking staggered breaks). So after waiting going on 2 hours, I get to the lobby to only have to wait another 45 to be seen to check out/order my contacts. I then get to the desk to find out the Dr (who I might add was in a rush to get to his lunch break, so spent a total of 10 minutes with me after that treacherous wait), prescribed me for -3.25 contacts, when my previous prescription was a -4.00 a year ago. After letting staff know that I wasn't comfortable ordering contacts with a lesser prescription because I know my eyes have not gotten any better...I was told "once you hit 30 honey, your eyes start to balance out"... This was by far my worst experience with Americas Best.

Let's start with I made an appointment and then was called and asked to come in earlier because they scheduled me when the dr wasn't available (not my fault!) I arrived earlier when they told me to and they made me wait an hour and a half right back to my original appointment time!! When I approached and asked how much longer it would be the staff was rude about it even though I explained I came in early at their request for their mistake. Then there was no one to assist with picking out frames so by the time I sat down with someone she gave me a total that didn't match the advertised special cause there was nothing where it was supposed to be. I was then told I would receive a call or text in 14 days and never did. When I called almost a month later they got an attitude when I questioned why I was never notified about my glasses having been sitting there and not being notified. The response was it must have been gone to spam. NO! I got the other texts and emails you sent and magically this one didn't go through?! Never again! This was a waste of time, energy and money!

wish there was a zero option. had to go 4 times to replace a lense after they ordered it wrong, then they say you can't get it now because prescription expired, why not tell me the first time. maybe then they would not have messed it up. the they tell me I would get a glasses for free from another store I already paid 130 for the lease that was not replaced the they charged me 250 for the free glasses that does not seem freezing same grade frames and lenses I had before. so 6 trips total to get this done seems crazy.

I would give zero stars. What happened to the staff! I've been going here for years!! Once I pick up my daughter's glasses I will not return to this location. The wait last Saturday was insane. I understand they may have been short staffed so we just wait. I was charged additional $ on a card that I was told did not go through which i thought was odd but I know cc do that. I ended up paying cash and using my debit card only to see that my credit card was charged also. When I see this I start calling the store on Dec 1st at 10 am. I spoke to a guy he was friendly but wasn't making sense to what he was saying and he said the manager would call me back. 3 hours later I call back the manager still didn't talk to a manager. I then drive to the store one girl get up to get the manager and another girl stops her. She tells me the manager has gone to the bank and she will be back. The other girl then says the manager won't be back after she leaves the bank. I end up calling my bank to dispute the charges because I had the receipt only to find out the teller helping me has experience the same thing and said all they had to do was give me a code and it could be reversed immediately. The teller recommended the Glenwood Ave location but I don't know because we already travel a good distance to get there. Here we are on the 5th of December and still nothing back on my card. I can say the doctor and Jenny were nice but she wasn't there on Monday when I called or went by. Things can be resolved with communication not avoidance.

I am sitting in America's Best for a 2:00pm appointment. It is currently 3:52, and I am still waiting for the second half of my exam. I understand that the exams are remote now. Please let me know that they are running behind. I waited for almost an hour to start my appointment. I had to ask if I would be seen soon, and even then, the young lady checked and could not tell me anything. She just said my folder is following. ( Whatever that means) I asked if she could tell me a time frame, but she said no. Needless to say, I only want to finish this appointment today and never return here again. Now, I don't even want glasses, I want my prescription and go!! I advise this office to develop a system for when patients are waiting. You have to be able to give us information when you are running behind. You are basically holding people up, wasting time, and pretending we are not waiting. It is totally unfair to wait longer than the actual appointment takes. It is now 4:01pm, and I am still waiting for a 2:00pm appointment. Why? There has to be a better way!!!!

I had an appointment today (12/13) at 10 am, because my glasses broke and I needed contacts until I got a new pair. While I was waiting, a miserable customer got an attitude with not one, but two employees because HE didn't know his insurance. I felt so bad for Jennifer that had to deal with his nasty attitude. I want to give Jennifer, the lady at the reception desk, and her manager a shout-out. They tried to calm the customer down, but he was so rude to the point where they kicked him out. Any time I've ever been here, I haven't had any issues. Git my eye exam done, and was out the door. Good job team!
