I have been coming to Taylor Retina at least twice yearly with my husband who has macular degeneration for several years. While the Rocky Mount staff are courteous and pleasant, the overall experience leaves MUCH to be desired. Starting with the lack of parking availability to the time it takes to actually see a doctor. Parking is nonexistent. Adequate seating nonexistent and respect for the patients time is nonexistent! Realize too, that most patients have VISION issues, so someone (like myself) is obligated to come to the visits . Taking off work for an entire afternoon is ridiculous. I type this as I sit in the waiting room exactly 1 hour after arriving for his appointment. Other than checking in and paying they have not even acknowledged his presence. How can a Doctor's office hold you hostage for hours on end?

The office in Rocky Mount is an absolute joke. They schedule 10 times more people than they can handle. I bring my mother here for her appointments, and it always takes over an hour to be seen. Today we got here at 8:20 and did not leave until 10:15. It gets worse every time I bring her here. You should look into hiring someone to teach your staff how to schedule appointments

I received excellent care. All staff members were kind and courteous. The doctor thoroughly explained my condition in terms that I could understand. He presented all available options in detail. He also listened to all my questions and concerns and answered each one. Highly recommend!

The doctors are nice but the care is slow. My father has been a patient for over 6 months. Every month he comes for a shot. We always arrive 15 minutes before his appointment. We have never been seen on time. Today after 30 minutes had passed his appointment time I finally checked in with the front desk. They were rude when they informed me that his chart has been pulled and he would be called soon. My father is on oxygen and we always run out because they have never called him on time.

Poor guidance as to next steps in an emergency situation. Despite showing clear signs of the need for immediate hospitalization, Dr. Clark did not advise us correctly, or provide any direction as to how to proceed with this very serious issue.

And he's literally saved my vision.
