Olive Branch Optometry

I had such a great experience here today as a new patient! Everyone I interacted with was very kind, and Dr. Byrd in particular was so great! I have always felt like my prescriptions were a little off or not exactly right after leaving the optometrist's office, but Dr. Byrd quickly identified a way to make my prescription more "balanced", and it is by far the clearest I have ever seen those letters! It is such a sigh of relief to know that my glasses will finally feel just right. I would give 10 stars if I could!

VERY impressed with this office! Very small, nice calm atmosphere, no rush in rush out, just very relaxed pleasant staff, all smiles. Every person I spoke with was pleasant and relaxed, you can tell they enjoy where and who they work for. The Doctor gave me 3 lense to try and gave his personal number to text which ones I like. I was very pleased with his full explanation as we looked at my retinae, eye and scans. I have VERY happy to have found a small Christian owned business! Thank you again for the great experience, my entire family will be going there now!

I had been going to one of those "chain" eyecare places and just had a feeling I was not getting the care I thought my eyes needed so I found Dr. Byrd. Now this is a Dr. I felt was actually looking after my eyes and wanted to give me the best care possible. I felt very confident with his diagnosis and now I know I was not wrong in my assessment of the chain office. So happy I found Olive Branch Optometry.

I had a wonderful experience at Olive Branch Optometry. The staff were extremely helpful and even ran my insurance before I was seen to make sure I knew all of the potential costs of my appointment up front. The Optometrist was really precise and helped my find the best prescription. He really took the time to make sure I was going to be happy with my choice of glasses verses contacts based on my lifestyle. He also took the time to educate me on what a healthy eye looks like. My glasses arrived quickly and I was fitted that same day. The prescription is spot on. I will absolutely be coming here for all of my future eye-prescription needs. Thanks Olive Branch!

That was the best healthcare-related visit I've ever experienced - bar none! When my beloved optometrist (of 26 years) retired, I thought I could never find an optometrist who was as good; then I met Dr. Byrd! He is amazing. He was thorough, he explained everything to me, and although he was very efficient, he never rushed me. His staff is absolutely superlative - friendly, kind, efficient, and really good at their jobs! I never waited one moment for anything - I arrived early and was taken (really good) care of from the moment I walked in the door. My only regret is that I'm moving away in 6 months, and I wish I could take them all with me!

The friendliness of Dr. Byrd and his staff is what you would want in any doctors office. During my exam, Dr. Byrd took the time to explain what he was looking for, how he was looking for it, and then why he decided to help me out the way he did. I really appreciate that kind of personable attention, especially when it comes to my health. His staff was right on par. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I can not remember her name, but the lady who helped me to choose my new pair of glasses was equally informative, helpful, and , above all, honest. She let me know that a particular frame did not fit my face and may not have been a good option for me. Again, I really appreciate that personal touch. Thank you.

Do not recommend. I visited Dr. Byrd in 2022 after he took over for Dr. Bigsby. After now receiving a bill over 300 days later to charge me more out of pocket for what was a follow up appointment... I do not plan on returning. They are more concerned with selling you on new products and their membership plan than they are with your care. In fact, Dr. Byrd intentionally issued me a wrong contact lens prescription, because the type of lens he was trying to peddle to me did not come in .25 sizes. He preferred for me to be in the wrong lens strength as long as it was the lens he was selling. They also didn't verify my insurance until AFTER my appointment. They also are constantly closing early and taking days off-- without notice or so much as a note on the door-- so good luck getting in touch with them when you need it. I believe if they don't have clients booked, they are gone. I think this office doesn't have their priorities straight. Just disappointing.

Dr. Byrd and his staff create an extraordinary experience. You are treated like family, and they exemplify the highest level of professionalism. Bob Moore
