I had an appointment for 2:30 pm
I received a call offering me an earlier appointment. I was told to be there around 12:30 ,so I arrived a little before 12:30....
Then proceeded to wait for nearly 2 hours ,ending up with my procedure at close to 2:30..
My original appointment time.
The other patients who were waiting also had similar experiences.
I will be avoiding albemarle eye center in the future.
This was not my first long wait there,but it will be my last.

Usually it's a good experience but yesterday was extra busy and extra crazy! And some of the patients think it's ok to have your loud ringer on your phone to go off and you answer and have a very loud conversation with whoever.. Jeez you're not at home so silence it like most people do. I understand the cataract dr was there and needed to see as many patients as possible but at least let people know not to be annoying! But thank you for the goodies from Panera which made it tolerable..

Dr. Swarup was highly recommended by my sister Sharon who was the former CEO/President of Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City. Indeed, Dr.Swarup and his entire staff that dealt with were outstanding in courtesy, customer service, efficiency, and knowledge in their job function. Dr.Swarup understood my issues and presented a good plan of care for my cataract surgery in both eyes. Great practice! Highly recommended!

Very thorough but no one helped me understand how to choose which procedure and how to get help with insurance coverage. We came by the next day and no one there could help us. There has been no phone call since and we requested a call to help me. I don't know what procedure I am booked for and how to get help making that decision but I am pretty sure I don't want what they have booked me for......

I'm very happy with my exams, surgeries, and the staff is great. Dr. Swarup is friendly and professional and has treated me well in every interaction with me. My missing star is for the wait time during each visit so bring a good book, well-charged phone, or something to ease your waiting experience. You will wait a long time for various services.
