Please do not waste your time or money here. After my initial eye exam, one of the technicians attempted to sell 2 pairs of glasses to me. Her demeanor was kind, but when I indicated I would not be purchasing glasses on site, her attitude instantly changed, barely spoke to me, and was more hostile. After my initial contact lense trial, I came back multiple times because they would not sit right in my eyes nor could I see appropriately. They kept switching out the contacts for different brands even when I asked if I could get a re-check eye exam. The glasses prescriptions were also significantly different than the rx I wear currently and I brought this up multiple times but they tried to tell me my vision improved. After 2 trial contacts pairs, I was told if this doesn't work for me, I could come in for another eye exam. After I scheduled the exam, I came in person and was then told they could not offer my the exam unless I bought contacts from them. They then brought out their assistant manager who tried to work with me on what options we could do to help with my contacts. The manager noticed the contacts were not corrected for astigmatism and that they would ask the optometrist to change the rx to match that. This then took multiple days. I was then called by another technician days later that the optometrist did not sign off on that change but what they could do was give me astigmatism lenses for my right eye. She booked an appointment for me over the phone to try on those lenses. I came in for the appointment and another technician had no idea what the prior tech told me and told me she could not do this for me because the optometrist did not sign off on it and the prior tech did not leave any notes. I left again empty handed. This was incredibly frustrating and I would not recommend anyone to go here since it seems they do no communicate and only seem to care about making money despite being a place that offers medical services.
I have been to this location twice now and both times were a pleasant experience. Today I had a phenomenal experience, specifically with the staff at this location.
Lindsay, Priscilla, and Jenn were professional and friendly; but they were also amazing help in every step of my visit.
I have worn glasses for 10 years and today's visit was the best experience I've ever had. Highly recommend this store, but especially the team members mentioned were extraordinary!!!
(Will edit when I receive my glasses and can speak to their accuracy!)
Visited here for my first eye exam on a whim, since I don't have much free time or accessible optometry. I saw a lot of really wonderful reviews for their customer service and hospitality, and man they are NOT kidding. I understand why people wrote glowing reviews for that aspect alone even if they rated this location low.
The people here are wonderful, incredibly kind and accommodating even when my appointment meant running a bit past close (which, my bad honestly for scheduling the last one of the day, but it was the only time I could make for the foreseeable future ): ) Never did I feel like I wasn't allowed to say no or discuss my options, and they were personable in a way that wasn't so clinical that I was nervous about just getting it over with and out.
I've seen people accuse Stanton Optical locations of upselling or bait and switch, but in my experience they were relatively willing to work within a price point. They checked to see what cost they could get for a pair of glasses, and got it down within what I could afford even for a pair not typically part of their popular promotion.
Overall, in terms of the eye exam itself, it was a little odd to do virtually but it wasn't anything to complain about, it was relatively straightforward and the person administering it was professional. Just the part involving reading letters and testing lens is administered by the virtual optometrist, imaging of the eye and all that is done by the workers themselves.
All of this to say, my visit was INCREDIBLY friendly and very professional, and everyone was quite wonderful to interact with.
I'm not great with names, and was a little frazzled as this was a new experience, but whoever was working last shift on 9/30 was killing it. :)
The 2nd half of the exam was virtual. She was very hard to understand. After waiting 2 weeks, I could not see through either pair. Odd, when I took them back, He did not question me as to why I wanted my money back or that they could fix the problem. Probably because they would go back overseas to wherever & come back the same. Got my money back. Bad experience. Learned lesson! But the employees were all nice & professional.
I am extremely disappointed with the experience my wife had at this location. When she called ahead, the receptionist clearly told her that the eye exam would be $25 with their Cigna discount program. What they failed to mention--and only revealed after she completed the exam--was that the $25 price only applies if you purchase frames from them. Because she didn't intend to buy frames, they suddenly raised the cost of the visit to $80 at checkout.
This kind of misleading pricing and lack of upfront communication is unacceptable. My wife is eight months pregnant, and the surprise charge combined with the dismissive attitude she received left her so upset that she walked out of the store in tears. No one, let alone someone who is visibly pregnant, should be treated this way.
We expected honesty and transparency, and instead we were met with deceptive practices and zero compassion. We will not be returning, and I strongly recommend that others be cautious before choosing this location.
I had a great experience here. I got my glasses pretty quick. The staff was really nice and professional. The facility is very clean. I always appreciate a clean facility. I like how the eye Dr did his exam remotely. I didn't have to be in the room alone with the eye Dr and I felt really comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place for sure. I give this place a 10/10 rating.
I've bought 2 pairs of glasses for myself the 1st one when I had an exam for glasses and contacts as well as my daughter had an exam for glasses and contacts. She had to have a trial pair shipped in this took over 2 months; 1 contact came in at a month in a half (no joke) and when I asked about them (at the location picking up my 2nd 6 month order of contacts btw) the lady was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing her. I already stood and waited over 20 minutes for someone to assist me and get an attitude. Then the glasses I bought the lenses weren't covered under any warranty that I thought I paid for but was just for the frames. The scratch resistant coating starting coming off on both lenses all around the edges and made things hard to see and it was 7 months after I had the glasses. I was not happy about that. Since I needed a new pair I picked one out I was misquoted a price for them and end up paying almost twice the amount. Again not happy! I get the glasses because like I said I needed them and then the arm breaks off at 6 months maybe less and I call and she tells me I have to pay 20% of the frames price. I'm not happy with the service, quality or timelines and I'm definitely not EVER going here again even if it was the last place left in the state.
I've been trying to get my son in contacts for a few years now with no success.... Until Today, a technician named Brie ( I think ) went above and beyond for my son . She was so easy to talk to, funny and was exactly what my boy needed to succeed . My 15 year old son even hugged her .
