Accent on Eyes

Dr. McLeod and his staff are the best! Very friendly and informative. I don't have any complaints about my previous eye doctor, but Dr. McLeod is a cut above the rest!

Rude, extremely rude receptionists. The doctor is great here very kind caring but what makes it hard to want to go to these people is how rude and disrespectful receptionist are. "That's not my problem". Is what one of them told me over the phone in a rude snarky tone. I have worked in customer service for a long time and no, that's how you get fired. I would've fired this woman on the spot.

Should have gone with my gut feeling. When I called to make the appointment the woman( I assume) was rude. When I arrived the woman at receptionist desk was rude and stuffing her face with a donut while she was talking to me. Claimed I was an hour late even though I have a voicemail with them calling me to confirm the time. Plenty of eye doctors out there who don't employ the Jersey shore crew.

As I prepared to share my experience at Accent on Eyes, I noticed a few negative reviews about topics that feel are customer service related. I haven't had any bad experiences personally here by the support staff. However, I will say there are some new faces this year that seem even better than some staff that aren't there anymore. But the real topic of this review is the time, and care that Dr. McLeod has shown me. I have been to other offices in the area where I felt like a number, and not a human. Dr. McLeod found an issue with me that could have easily been overlooked and would have lead to possible vision loss and maybe worse. I'm not sure everyone takes their profession as seriously as he does, and makes me feel comfortable at the same time. If you want nothing more than some cheap glasses, maybe this isn't the best office for you. But if you're serious about your eye health and being cared for, you absolutely should see Dr. McLeod. This isn't a chain and he has a local family and has been treating people in this area here for the last 25 years. Both here and at Fishers Optical before that. He's not going anywhere and has the skills and care I'm looking for. Highly recommend.

I went to Accent on Eyes for my last exam and purchase of glasses... I am very happy with the outcome!!! My prescription is PERFECT (per Dr. McLeod) and Kristi was very knowledgeable in helping me find a pair of frames that complimented my face and personality! I would definitely recommend setting up an appointment with them!

Dr. McLeod and the staff at ACCENT on EYES are wonderful! They are very helpful and considerate. They provide excelkent feedback when you ate deciding on which frames to select. Dr. McLeod helpfully explains the procedures and tests. In addition to being professional and helpful, they really care about the patients.

The doctor at this location is amazing!! However, the people who work the front have terrible customer service and bedside manner. They were super nice when we were buying our frames and prescription lenses but very cold and rude when I had a manufacturer defect with my one lens and the employee suggested I should use the scratch warranty on them. Even though at this time I only had them for maybe 2 months and you could obviously tell it was a lens defect and I was completely unaware that there was any kind of warranty on them. Finally the situation was figured out and I didn't use the scratch warranty because that's only a one time use. However, there was no apology for the defect just a cold response that they will be done in 7-10 days. Probably won't be doing business here anymore. Also, just noticed a scratch on my lens already after 10 minutes of picking them up. Definitely done with accent on the eyes. Update: it was not scratch swirl marks. The lens defect looked as if it was an oil mark, you could see there were layers being lifted from the lens.

If I could give Accent on Eyes a negative rating, (I mean less than 1 star), I would!!!!! First, the ladies who work with you are NOT opticians. They are not educated to choose the correct type of lense based on your prescription and needs. They have a one size fits all mentality and that is not what you should expect when purchasing glasses or contacts. In my case, I ultimately paid $1100.00 because of their lack of education. I had to do my own research and have the lenses they used replaced. They charged me for both sets. Next, the Frames I purchased lost the color from the brand name and needed replaced after approx 2weeks. I got lucky and they did replace them without charging me again. BUT, they could not adjust them to fit properly on my face!!! It was awful, and I returned for 3 or 4adjustments to no avail. Finally, I called Kristy who did most of the poor adjustments and asked for the owner to call me. I Never got a call....never heard from them again!!!! Ultimately, I went to a wonderful optical center and got them adjusted. The new center was appalled at their work. I cannot express how truly awful this experience has been. This is what $1100 will buy you at this optical center. Addendum to my original review. Today 10/4/22 I called Dr McLeod to report a defect in my left temple on these glasses. I am still within my 1 year warranty. Dr. MCLEOD refuses to fix the problem. I can only deduce that there was never a 1 year warranty on these when I purchased them. Do not believe the 1 year warranty claim they make....Buyer beware.
