Bad experience all around, from scheduling my appointment, getting checked in, and especially the doctor. I had to call 3 different times, with the first two being told I should try calling again another time as they didn't want to grab my referral.
Once I got scheduled and showed up for my appointment, I was shuffled between windows before waiting well over an hour. I had to refill out the forms submitted online, wasting more time as well.
Once I was pulled into the clinic, my vision was tested in a basic manner, before I was again left in a room alone for over half an hour. The nurses dilated my eyes and I was finally brought to the MD. When he entered the room I was told "Oh wow, I thought you would be older. If I knew I wouldn't have dialed your eyes. I cant really do anything to check you out now, so come back another time."
Great, so my file wasnt even reviewed at all, and I wasted this whole visit for nothing. Now with dilated eyes, over an hour late to return to work, I was sent home without eye protection/sun glasses to drive half an hour during peak sun (1-2pm). Even worse, I got a bill for the visit, and since my medical concerns weren't addressed, it wasnt treated as a medical bill and therefore wasnt covered to the level it should have been.
Never been more disappointed in a business in my life, not a single step of the process worked, and I hope others strongly reconsider their medical and eye care needs.
My experience with the doctor was the sole positive aspect of my visit. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the registration desk, where I encountered an older woman who had a somewhat abrasive demeanor. I felt thoroughly disheartened after interacting with her.
The staff at that location lacks knowledge about medication interactions. Despite documenting my Plavix use, they gave me dilating eye drops, which caused severe vision impairment and increased blood pressure. Everyone there should receive training on incompatible medications. I was unaware of this information at the time, so I researched it online when I returned home, as I was not feeling well.
Moreover, they released me quickly. While driving home, my vision was substantially impaired due to the dilated eyes, but luckily I arrived home safely.
I'm giving it 2 stars because 1. Dr. Knupp was very thorough in explaining what I had and seemed interested in my general well-being. And 2. The facility was very clean.
I was refered to Dr. Kahn for cateract removal by my retina specialest. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. After surgery at the next day checkup l told Dr.khan my eye was compleatly blury. All he would say is Take the drops 4 times a day. I was scared. I came back for my week check up and had to talk to offive manager about how dr Khaun talked to me. He said he would Not do my other eye, preceded to tell me how many cataract surgerys he's done and told me to leave. No reason to come back. I am now with Dr. Coleman.vision asso: surgery to fix my left eye will be extensive and i will have to go to Cincinnati. He wrote me off and was rude when i questioned his work. Im so sick about this.this is my eye sight.
My job requires my eye sight.
I've been patient of Dr Raffoul for over 30 years, Best in the Business
My daughter arrived for a 10am appointment and it was her first appointment. When I approached the desk I wasn't aware of which Doctor she was seeing so I approached the right window due to no one standing at that one. The receptionist was an older grouchy lady that clearly is unhappy with her working for Dr Knupp even while on the phone she's a grouch. When we were directed to the left window the younger receptionist for Dr Costa was very nice and helpful. The wait was very long! If you make an appointment be prepared to take the day off because you'll be there awhile. Don't get me wrong getting an appointment was fast but arriving a sitting and waiting almost a hour to be seen makes obviously no sense. I was referred by my PCP that I'll most definitely will be letting her know how disappointed I was with the wait.
My experience @ Associated Eye Care has always been very pleasant. The staff are friendly & professional. Dr. Raffoul explains his findings after an eye examination & details any further treatment needed. He is a caring physician and after my cataract eye surgery- he followed me closely to make sure the healing process was progressing. I would definitely recommend Associated Eye Care to my friends & family.
Most frustrating thing in the world is you guys rolling your phones over earlier than 12pm. Some of your patients work Healthcare too so trying to call you even if it's 5 minutes before lunch is all we get. Well over due for appointments as i've tried calling now for a few months but again phones are rolled before noon. Ridiculous.
I don't have 20\20 as I was told, but I have so many issues with my eyes from a back wreck, that I didn't expect miracles. I have has headaches since surgery, but I've ordered my new lens hoping it solve this. Very good Dr. and staff. My second surgery is scheduled.
